Finally bought my first boat! It's a 95 16.8 almucraft with a johnson 40 on it. It hasn't been used much and kept in a barn with a cover on it. The trolling motor will need updated soon. Get the registration done and its water time!

I am looking at a 91 stratos 201pro Dc with Evinrude 225. The owner said one of the cylinders was scoured. My question. Is the boat worth $1000.00? Is this a bad idea?

A freind and I decided to go spot fishing this past Saturday. After a 2 hour drive in the rain. We arrived at the boat ramp with no rain in site for the rest of the day! This was my first time fishing for spotted bass. I had a awesome time. After 13hrs on the water! We caught 20 spots and some largemouths. I had the lunker of the spots at 4lds! These fish fight hard! I had never been on a lake with so much current when one of the dams is generating. It was insane!

Congrats! Since it's a Youth column. I would do one on how to get young kids to the hobby of Fishing. Give some pointers on going to local lakes and basic tackle advise. Hope that helps.

It was rained out last weekend. They are holding it this weekend. They have some spots that opened up. The person I was going with has a BFL this weekend. So I will be sitting this one out. My ride out check out the action. I was so Nevrous with just being signed up! Could imganine thie night before the Tournament!

It's full! 25 spots and I was 28 registered. Tried to get them to have 30 spots but they wouldn't go for it.

I watched it last night. I liked the battle at the end between friends. I really like this setup!

How did you do this weekend?

It's a local lake. Lake Tholocco, its on a Army base Ft. Rucker Al. The tournament is next weekend. March 3rd. Good Luck Brian! Give us a report tomorrow.
