Any Pelican Bass Raider Owners Out There?
I'm really happy with my Bass Raider 10e. I've had a LOT of fun taking it out in the evening. My problem is that we take it on three day camping trips and have concerns about running the battery down. My question is is there a battery out there that will last a long time without charging? I have two motors. I have a Minnkota 30 lb thrust and a Minnkota 55 lb thrust. The 30 works fine, but the 55 gets you from point a to point b quicker. Would I be better off to use the 30 on camping trips? We camp in places where there is no electricity. Thanks.

Vermont Bass'n Help!
This (Salem) is my neck of the woods! I frequently fish Memphramagog from my canoe. I saw in another post that you are concerned about the waves/rough water. Try the South Bay access area. It's much calmer there and I have caught a lot of both Sallies and Larrys in there. Also, Shadow Lake in Glover, Parker Pond in Craftsbury, Echo, Pensioner Pond, etc, etc. PLENTY of good bass spots.

Any Pelican Bass Raider Owners Out There?
OK, I finally got my plug from Pelican (through Amazon) to use my trolling motor from the front. How do you guys go about splicing the plug to the trolling motor wires? Before I splice them together using wire nuts and electrical tape (there *has* to be a better way) I thought I'd see what others had done first. I have a Minnkota 30/30. Thanks for the help!

Any Pelican Bass Raider Owners Out There?
This site is great! I recently purchased the Bass Raider 10e after a lot of research and help from the folks on here.

Any Pelican Bass Raider Owners Out There?
Another question which may be a dumb one. What do I need to run my motor up front? Assuming it's prewired from the back which it looks like it is, it looks like I need some sort of adaptor? I'd like to have the battery in the back. Thanks

Any Pelican Bass Raider Owners Out There?
I finally got one yesterday! Bass Raider 10e Brand new for $429.00 at Dicks which I thought was a great deal. It was one they had from last year and it said "Save $170.00" which I did. Now to get it rigged and ready for the water!

What did you mount it with? I was thinking of using galvanized sheet metal screws. Would screws hold nicely in the plastic?

I'd like to see an ancor mounted on one of these. I find it hard to fish without one. Thanks.

Dicks Sporting No Longer Has Bass Raider 10E??????
First of all, thanks for your help! I don't think the wheel wells are going to be an issue seeing as I will have to ride it up on the tailgate. I always used the 14' Old Town on the tailgate which was quite a site, but got the job done. We camp with a popup camper a LOT and tailgate down won't be an option. I may use a pulley type storage as you suggested, maybe with a come-a-long to get it up high enough? Ideal would be if I could back under and lower it directly into the truck. My garage is pretty small, however. Again, thanks for the help.

Dicks Sporting No Longer Has Bass Raider 10E??????
My only question at this point is storage. We have two vehicles (Tacoma/Rav4) and need to keep it (Bass Raider) in the garage as well. From floor to ceiling is only 9'6" and I had hoped to stand it up and strap it to the wall to store it. We have always stored our canoe on a rack about 7 ft off the floor which was fine as the canoe only weighs 60 lbs or so. How do folks store their Bass Raiders? I know the 8' would store easily, but it's not an option as I seldom fish alone.

Great deal on the 8'. I need the 10. It is now back on Dicks site for $599. I'm getting one either next week or the following week.

Any Pelican Bass Raider Owners Out There?
I am going to buy one of these (Bass Raider e) from Dicks within the next week or two. I posted in another thread that Dicks no longer offered the 10e but it's now back on their site at $599 which I doubt will be beaten. I plan on keeping it strapped to the wall in my garage over the winter. Winter here can often get to -25 to -30 F. Is this too cold for it? I've kept my Old Town canoe in the same conditions with no problems. I understand that few people on here live in this cold climate.

Going From Canoe To Mini Bass Boat-- Which One?
My wife and I are in our mid 40s, not quite elderly yet. Our dog is 10 and very inactive 70 lbs or so. My wife and I both fish, the dog basically just sleeps and makes bodily noises.
