  1. When I am able to get paper maps of lakes I fish I color code my catch spots to show me shallow, deep sunny. windy, rainy ect type of days so I can identify what worked and when on that spot. Its sounds confusing but tournament time I have my answers ready depending on what type of day it will be. So sometimes I will have more than 50+
  2. If anyone is interested Suds n soda sports in Greenland has a facebook page they will be updating the thickness of most popular lakes and post on how the Smelts are running along the coast of NH. plus they are fantastic bunch of people to do business with.
  3. Your braver then I am 40+ yrs of ice fishing myself, 2 inches of ice can barely withstand 200lbs in a 4ft radius. 4 inches is the minimum to safely walk on according to fish and game. Great bass though.
  4. The wardens have been on the air telling everyone to not trust it yet.
  5. Nice water, Rust pond next to it has a good size bass population because of the lake smelts but expect to fish 20ft of water when the water cools down.
  6. True but just like Dick's sporting goods Cabela's could never order the right product for us bass fishermen they always ordered the junk stuff and ran out of the good stuff. at least bass pro they were always full. But I really miss northern bass supply.
  7. Just a notable Cablela's just got bought out by BassPro today. if you had stock in Cabela's you made a 20% profit
  8. Hearing from some of my fishing friends that lakes are getting low (whats new) Just remember those rock shoals are a lot closer then you think in lower water. Some state ramps are closed now including Massabesic.
  9. Awesome fish.Been fishing deeper for years and a avid user of the percentage triangle. even small ponds will have what it takes. Have alway caught the big ones on lakes I have never fished before. Good luck all, I know its slow but the bigger ones are moving now. Just wish I could get more time off from work to fish.
  10. I haven't fished the Suncook region in almost 20 yrs but if I remember right only the upper had the deep water where as the lower got to about18ft or so. I just remember just off the two coves on the middle west side of the upper having the better summer fishing.
  11. Second Day of fishing done this time a harder lake for big fish Great East in Wakefield. I got this one on some floating islands, I casted into the junk with a wacky rigged texas smoke senko into the roots. This went 5.2 I though it was around 4 1/2 but scales don't lie so we weighed it twice. About a dozen lm and sm bass today under blue bird skies with little or no wind and the water was clear enough to see down 15ft with ease. If any one wants to ask Huk shirts are awesome.

  13. Great day on Walker Pond. Plenty of 6 and 5 pounders. I have never fished a pond where the bass had such psychotic energy. About 3 dozen LM this one was 6.4 biggest of the day. Black jigs with either black/blue or pumpkin green chiggers. Chatter baits with some copper in the skirts on a fat impact keitech and of course some waky senkos. All from off shore weed lines and sunken tree structures. My friend Ed got 3 5lbs largies in the span of 10 minutes which shows how good of a day it was there.
  14. Haven't had much time to get out fishing but getting some time in this week. Walker pond Tuesday and Great East Weds. NIce to see some fish on here during the dog days of summer.
  15. Last week fishing all my fish were in the shallows around floating vegetation. Summer patterns are on. Bought a live target sunfish lure can't wait to try, it fish's like a frog so will try it as a follow up lure.
  16. That I don't know will look into that I can't make the Moose tournament. As you know anything the Hoopers are involved with takes time lol.
  17. These are the Weds bass tournaments from Moe's Bass Busters. But yes basically run by Hooper. They have one on Moose this Sunday also.
  18. Was lucky enough to be able to fish a Weds tournament on Arrowhead lake in Waterboro, ME. I was culling all day but nothing over 2lbs to make my 5 fish bag just under 10lbs for weight.. I know another forum member here did a better job. The wind played games the later part of the day.. Jigs and senkos (wacky) got the most. I do know a couple 6 lb fish were caught.
  19. Its a colder lake further north mostly smallmouth remember fish have no calendar. it's all by water temp and the moon phase. but spawn can occur through out the summer if a bass misses the cycle. Can remember a few yrs ago smallmouth finally hitting spawn late June at Winni
  20. Unless your going to Umbagod lake it would be safe to say post spawn is in full swing,
  21. Finally took my boat out at Swains for the first time this season. Just under 2 dozen but nothing over 2lbs in size the lake is in post spawn. Black jigs with craw/brown chiggars, texas smoke wacky rig and a couple banging a squarebill around rocky areas. Hoping to get many more fishing in this season. Have fun all.
  22. Heard it was a good day to fish my buddies did well to. Ed took first and my buddy Paul must have tied you. A lot of fish taken in less then a foot of water. They said the same thing about senko's and jig's did very well.
  23. Two buddies of mine Ed and Paul are doing the same tournament, Good luck.
