I've been looking into buying a fishfinder to mount to a canoe without very much hassle so the Humminbird fishin buddy max caught my attention. The only problem is I can't find very much about the max model online, ive only found articles about the 120, 140 etc. Is this something worth using or would I be better off going with something else?

Yup, that was one of the things I noticed right off the bat at Cabelas the other day. Based on my experience with the Accurist spinning reel, I ended up picking up the Accurist PT baitcaster when I bought my Penn Squall 15. If it doesn't workout I have my backup Shimano Caenan that works just fine.

So what I'm getting really is all these reels have their advantages and disadvantages, some people like them some dont. It's kinda seeming like they're all pretty much equal in that respect.

Oddly enough you aren't the first person I've heard say that about quantum, it's not my first baitcaster but I also love reliability so I will probably opt for the Pflueger. The abu is pretty nice too, but I checked the Pflueger out at my local store and liked the feel of it.

So, I"m looking to buy a new baitcaster because I want one with an aluminum frame. I"m completely stuck between the Pflueger Supreme and the Quantum PT Accurist, it seems like a lot of people on here would prefer the Pflueger, but iv'e also have good luck with my accurist spinning reel. Anyone have any experience with either of these? EDIT: Also considering the Abu Garcia Orra 2 SX

A couple of months ago my uncle gave me an old mitchell 1020 spinning reel that he dug out of his basement. Does anyone know what year model this reel is?
