  1. And what is the best weight?
  2. Let us see what blank its on it (hopefully not like savy´s)....and just wish the hook keeper was like the cumara´s! Would like to see some pics of the real seat and the handle....
  3. It´s a nice lake then...
  4. Nice, very nice. Often downgrading is the way to go. Congrats.
  5. I know what you mean....
  6. Sorry RW, but not 100% true... It´s true that a baitcaster has more power than a spinning reel but it´s not the reel´s duty to bring back the fish, or at least not always....
  7. I understand but most people are right-handed and since we should use our best hand to hold the rod, why do you guys there (not all, but many...) still prefer to use right hand baitcasters and have to switch hands after casting (or pitching or any other technique) is something strange...
  8. It is! Because I´m spending money in something that I can´t see and don´t know well, only by the words of others....that´s why I asked for you guys some help. Thanks.
  9. Hootie Sorry to be a pain...but as John said I can´t handle the rods before I buy them and neither I can´t buy gazilions of rods so I have to careful in my choice. Thanks.
  10. Thanks, And since you own it, can you tell me about the rod? Especially its tip, where it flex, how and how much does it flex, how is the rod´s tip?
  11. I plan to mount on it a Metanium... Thank you very much for everything, you are a saint!
  12. Can you tell me how much in casting distance would I lose with the 853 (aprox.)?
  13. Basically if the 853C JWR´s tip is soft enough to cast with ease and far a 3/16oz weight, does it load well to throw out there a 3/16?
  14. Great!! Can you tell me a bit (or a bunch) about the rod, please? Tip, backbone, you name it...
  15. That the problem, the 852 is a medium and is rated up to 3/8 and the 853 is rated up to 5/8 and is a medium-heavy, I don´t know if I´m thinking right but if it was a medium with a top rating of 5/8 I wouldn´t even think twice because it would have some backbone, but I´m affraid that the 852 will not have the power and the 853 will be too stiff (being a MH rod it will flex less)....and since I can´t hold them before I buy it and they are not a $50 rod....that´s way I´m trying to figure it out.
  16. You are talking about the NRX right? But what about the GLX? Do they have the same tip? Is the GLX as stout as the NRX? Or softer?
  17. Thanks. I usually use 0.30mm line (going up max. 0.32mm and dow to 0.28mm)
