Miami Canal Lures
Kristo I am sorry you feel that way about South FL. Sounds like your transitioning here from somewhere that was not remotely like where you are now. Is the heat bad? It can be at times. Is the fishing tough this time of year? It can be at times. However based on the little time you have been here, although you have been out numerous times you still are a "rookie" pls do not take the comment as an insult, I am just merely letting you know that once you find that honey hole I think you will be singing a different tune. Patience... bass fishing will take a lifetime to master. Listen to the more seasoned bass fisherman here and they are still growing and learning new ways to fine tune their skills. The more I bass fish the more I find out what I need to work on. Pretty soon when winter comes again and the folks up north unfortunately have to give up bass fishing for a while you will be posting like crazy on how you love fishing here. Learn from this process and experience.

First Generation Revo Sx
I never used a 1st Gen, I have 2nd Gen. But $100?? Gen 3 are coming out this fall. TW have Revo S's 2nd Gen for $99. I do not think its worth the $100 IMO.

I am pretty sure there are peacocks in those lakes, I do not know if they are easily caught however. LMB will be in both for sure. Sorry about the car break in.

I have completely difference experience with mine. I really enjoy mine. I use it as my frogging reel with #50 PP I adjusted as recommended and I can honestly say no backlashes. I have had mine for well over a year.

Tips On Fishing With Frogs?
I agree with MarkHo24, 20 seconds on a frog hookset is waaaay to long. You risk seriously injuring or killing the fish IMO. Frog fishing is not an exact science, what i mean is even if you have the proper gear, line, timing, frog, etc. You are still going to miss them, that is the game we signed up to play. However, if you are consistently missing fish i would reevaluate your gear, your timing, and how u are setting the hook.

Tips On Fishing With Frogs?
Bummer, however there was signs of life. Keep at it. With the excitement of a blow up, we forget the basics sometimes. Especially when you want to catch them on the frog. Next time you will do better. Keep your cool and do your best to keep from pulling the trigger immediately after the blow up. Keep us posted.

Miami Canal Lures
Kristo, next time your at tropical park throw one your finesse soft plastics on C-rig and work the bottom. That lake as lot of limestone rocks, work your lure slowly over that deep structure. Let me know what happens.

Walking A Spro Bronzeye Frog
I have found that you have to give it very little wrist action in conjuction with leaving the line slack. That being said, I give up on walking and just do a series of slow pops and that works just fine for me.

Gambler Baits
I am not on facebook, and they processed my order just fine.

St. Croix Rods??
I own several St. Croix rods and I have never had any of the issues you have mentioned. Its too bad you are having that experience, they are great rods and I enjoy mine. Which models do you have? St croix will take care of you and send you new ones no questions asked.

What Am I Missing Out On?
A good spinning outfit would be great addition to your arsenal of rods. Especially for finesse fishing. Sometimes bass are going for small forage and I have to throw a F7 Rapala. If some of u guys can throw that size of Rapala on a baitcaster with accuracy and distance with some wind in the mix, my hat is off to all of you.

Braid And Leader
This topic is being mentioned alot, awesome!! I am all in for a braid to fluro leader. Depending on application however. As far as what fluro i will recommend? This is where I will tell you experiment with a line that works for you and that your comfortable with. As you can see there are numerous brands that everyone swears by. Over the years, and with help of this forum I narrowed it down to two brands of fluro that I use and suit me for the type of fishing that I do.
