Need To Get Back To Basics...help Please
In your situation I would use the K.I.S.S. principle. (Keep it simple silly). I would recommend what Bigblock mentioned and really reduce your outfits. Pick the 3 techniques that have been most productive on your home waters and relax and fish. Once you get your confidence back, then try other techniques that are the seasonal patterns for your area. Keep your head up. Good luck.

Froggin: Lessons Learned
On my boat, a frog is always rigged and its the ice breaker and my go to bait. If frog is not on the menu then I resort to other applications. I may not like to, but sometimes I have to unfortunately. ..... LOL

Froggin: Lessons Learned
When it comes to colors, I look to have contrast based on the type of light available during the day and clarity of the water.

Froggin: Lessons Learned
I go against the grain, when it comes to what "time" to fish a lure. In this case a frog. I will throw a frog from the time I start in the morning to the time I finish at the end of the day.

Magnetic Vs. Centrifugal Brakes
I have reels that have those breaking systems, 2 of the reels utilize both brakes. I prefer centri over mag brakes. With a reel with both sytems, you have the ability to fine tune your casts

I can understand your frustration, but be thankful you have the time, and convenience to go back the very next day. Good luck.

Curado I
I just picked up my 2nd Curado I,over at Ron's Valley Sports. He gave me a heck of a deal on the reel and a Dobyns rod. Now I know why so many of us on here really enjoy doing business with him. I still can't believe how he hooked me up. Thanks Ron!!

Holiday Park Boat Rental
It will make your fishing a bit more challenging. The only other thing I can think of is a light anchor. Fish an area and move on, and anchor again. Without the tm you cannot maneuver the way you would like and you are at the mercy of the wind with no steering. If you just have a big motor you have to be doing to many things at once which can make for a frustrating day, especially if its windy.

Where Did The Fish Go In Fl?
That's part of fishing. Some areas are more active than others. I had a period a couple of month's back in the canals, I was catching nice quality fish. Then from one day to the next they shut off. You have to roll with the good and the bad. Sometimes you feel like you are on your "A" game, and the very next day you will be left scratching your head. That's what I love about fishing. You never know what the next time out will bring.

Florida Guys Check In Here.
That's a nice groupon. Holiday has been great. Utilize that groupon soon. When the summer rains begin and the water rises in the glades, the fishing slows down again.

- Why Don't Manufactures Cut Frog Legs The Recommended Length?
Believe it or not, some people like the legs just the way they are. I only starting trimming the legs of my frogs just last year. I have been fishing frogs for alot longer than that.- Just Bought My First Zara Puppy
I almost forgot to tell you. Remember to add a small split ring, if it doesn't have one already. It will make your life a little easier.- Florida Guys Check In Here.
C-14 welcome aboard, I have seen you around the forum but I was curious when you were going to start posting. Kayaks can be useful down here in several areas. However, in the Everglades?? I personally will not do it either. Gators can be very curious sometimes. You tell me a small aluminum boat like a 10 footer, then yes, have had it. Best way we can help you is by you asking questions as the situation comes up. In the meanwhile, take advantage of this site and watch the vids and read the vast amount of articles. See you around.- Can You Catch A Peacock With A Frog??
Wow!! A peacock fishing hole.. 6lbr's are no joke.- Can You Catch A Peacock With A Frog??
Nice Snook!! You got the selfie going on there... I like it. You are becoming the local pea expert....- Would You Buy A Heavy-Action Rod?
If your building an arsenal. A heavy power rod is always good to have if the situation calls for one. Good luck, and enjoy what ever you decide to get.- Just Bought My First Zara Puppy
Yes.... practice. I would start with 10-12lb mono. Its all in the wrist. Find your cadence like if you were beating a drum. Keep the rod tip down, allow a little slack and begin your cadence. boom ....boom....boom... etc. Once you master that, then you can speed up your cadence and make your dog jog instead of walking...lol.... one of glenns video's made me fine tune that technique.- Trouble Casting With Braid
Did you re-adjust your reel? Every time I swap out lines, I go through the entire re-adjusting process. If its mag break reel, I will zero it out, and then adjust accordingly. Centri's I leave alone. Spool tension knob I adjust according to the fall rates of the baits I use. - Why Don't Manufactures Cut Frog Legs The Recommended Length?
