  1. Thanks for all the input guys! I'm hopefully going to be pretty happy with them this year!
  2. Has anyone on here ever used these hooks? How do they compare to Gamakatsue? I used to be all tied up in getting the brand name stuff, but have came to realize most of the time the fish don't really discriminate! Haha! Thank you in advance for any insight!
  3. I haven't posted on here for a while! Here is my 2000 Ranger 522DVX with a 225 Merc pushing her along the waves. It is a wonderful boat that will last me a long time! It has all the bells and whistles, but I've learned a lot of the time I'm the reason I'm not catching fish!!!
  4. Waylon, All the Critique you are getting here you need to take to heart and use it. You have to have something that makes you different. Ask yourself these questions. What kind of leadership skills do you have? What kind of grades do you get? What is your attendance at school? Can I carry on a conversation with anyone, and I mean anyone! Am I willing to sacrifice my fishing time to promote their products at shows? Will I be able to display their logos on my vehicle, boat etc. Last but not least, and most likely the most important, do I BELIEVE in the company! If your answer was no or I don't know, to any of these, wait a little longer and hone your marketing skills.
  5. I used to be basspro96 on here, I went from looking from sponsors a few years ago, and just a few weeks ago I found myself working in a booth at the Forrest wood cup talking to guys that are the best in the business. Just keep on chugging guys. You work hard, and you will make it.
  6. Let your fishing do the talking first. Then let you do the talking. When you get into sponsors sometimes your fishing will suffer because you have to be more focused on promoting product, and you HAVE to do well in tournaments then. You represent a company and your success rate is how people will view your sponsor's products. You also must be sold out on your product. If you do not fully believe in it you are wasting your time. So, before chasing after sponsors like a wild man, just fish, and enjoy it.
  7. Hello all! I used to be very involved on this website and then somehow lost my account information,my name was basspro96, but now I am back! Bassresource is where I got my first sponsor and where I recieved a lot of information. This forum in dear to my heart! Haha! I live in Cleveland, Tennessee and I fish the Tennessee River chain along with the Ocoee River/ Parksville lake! I run a 2000 522 dvx Ranger Comanche. Love that boat. I am the leader and creator of my high school fishing club and I fish in my local Jr. Club. I also fish bigger local tournaments and the bassmaster weekend series when I don't have conflicting tournaments. Looking forward to posting again and meeting some great people!
