Yes it's pro braid 15 lb. line and I have pulled every inch of line off of that spool at least 2 or 3 times and it still does it. What line would y'all recommend?

Ok guys I just tried out my Abu Garcia revo sx and I like it but theres one problem I having. When I cast, probaly every 4 or so casts I will cast and about 20 feet out in the air, it will just stop like its catching on something. I don't know if it's the line I'm using or if there is knots in my line or something. It be great if someone could maybe give me a idea of what it is. Thanks, -jeremo

I just got tot today and put a 1/2 sinker on it just to practice out in the yard and I have only had a couple minor back lashes. So far I think I am doing alright and at the rate I am going, I think I'll be pretty well used to it by the weekend. I appreciate all the feed back.

Thanks for the replys but when you say the "cast control knob". Are you talking about the knob on the side that the reel shaft is or the other side. And when you say that I should start with the magnets all the way, do you mean to set the the magnets on the max setting?

I'm going up to Barkley lake in western Kentucky this weekend and I'm going to be around the prizor point area. I hear the water is 3 ft below summer pool and it is dangerous. I'm thinking about taking my Jon boat instead and just staying in that bay. Any body know how the lake is looking and any good fishing spots in that area?

I recently ordered a Abu Garcia revo sx and Ive nevered owned a bait caster before and I hear they are a big trouble if you don't set them up properly. I was just wondering what pound line and and size lures and how I should set the magnets for certain baits.
