I have a 7ft MH I love it. I have only had it out 3 times so far though. I did lift a 3lb LM into the boat with the rod I questioned durability but it seems they got that figured out. They are indeed super light and very sensitve. i put a Shimano Core 50 on mine and it a sweet setup love it.

Braids Slipping as stated above I thought people were crazy to but it does . I spool some mono then uni not to the braid works good for me.

Shimano Core 50 you wont look back super light and fits your hand like a reel should. Pair it with a lightweight rod and its pure bliss. I bought one and fished with it for about 7 hrs went home and bought 3 more that all I want to use now.

Well I took it out its stil all together I even hoisted a 3 lb to the boat all rod it did not snap so far I am more than pleased with this rod I will put it through its paces the next few weeks.

Ok so I am at BPS with the Wife for Fathers day and I am just browsing and see the Morris2 baitcast reel on sale. I was not really looking for one but I thought it would be ok for a frog setup why not 139.99 was pretty cheap compared to what I have bought recent. Well the Wife approves this with well thats on sale and its cheap she is used to seeing Shimano Cores in on the credit card bill. So now I have a reel no rod so I start looking and see the Carrot Black and feeling it when the Sales associate says its on sale and we have sold a slew of them and no problems of yet. So I reluctantly ask the Wife and she says ok its fathers day why not its on sale 150.99. So out to the lake with my new stuff stringed with 50lb Power Pro Ultra Slick I set the breaks and tie on a Luck Craft sammy 100 fish it for about 1hr Only one keeper at about 2LB. After a couple hours I started trying lighter stuff and man this reel can handle all of it I was throwing weightless sekos 1/4oz drop shot all with ease and no problems. Caught a 3lb on the drop shot the rod felt amazing 7ft Mh Plenty of back bone fast tip great action love this rod I got snaged On some timber and yanked it pretty hard. Power lifted the 3Lb in the boat rod stayed together. The reel is no core but is a really good buy my only complaint is it is a little heay of a reel but not bad I am just used to the Shimano Cores. I believe this setup would be great for somebuddy that is budget minded it is a good buy. The rod is super light and supppppper sensitive you can feel everything I will be sure to buy more of these once it proves its durable. The Power Pro Super Slick did great after a few cast it really comes alive I do believe it is rounder than the regular Power Pro But I am not sure if its worth the added cost. I hope this was not to long and it helps somebody along the way.

Shimano Stagic Ci4 proven Proven durable long lasting super smooth. Pfluger Supreme Xt is not as smooth as the shimano and I am pretty sure ts as durable though . as for the others I have no experience with them good luck I suggest take your rod and try a few reels on it and see which you like different reels will change balance and weight. Thats the only advice I can give ya go Shimano..

GREATTT I guess I will make a trip back to BPS and refund for something else.I just dont know what I will get now in the 150.00 range I really liked that rod. I guess I could just use it and see what happens then return if it snaps. I really just dont want to hear the wife I told you so crap. Then telling all of her dam yappy friends he buys all this stuff that cost so much and he tears it up. Yea I did break a St Croix avid once in the sun roof. Anyways thanks for the update..

Well pretty simple really to reel line in fast like if the fish comes towards you and believe me they do. Oh and buy the way I thought that was fast to about 2 years ago when I saw guys buying fast reels for pitchin. Also I bought one Core 50 for 265. shipped normaly run 360.00

Well I bought it at BPS and it felt amazing I loved how light and how the tip loaded up and it was cheap. I was told that all problems were resolved well I am going to try it out Saturday jiging so it will get a work out I have been known to set the hook on tree limbs and trash in the water so we will see I guess. I have faith that BPS will take care of me if anything goes wrong. I really wantto like this though I mean I bought one through all the bad rap even My Wife even said she wouldnt buy anything that said Carrot for fishing, But once again the weight of that rod was fantastic and the tip speed and back bone felt and looked like a winner. Well time to spool up some Pp and go sawing and snapping Carrots LOL. Oh I sure hope not. Tight Lines fellas.

Okay I just bought a carot stick wild micro should I just refund this since I have not used it? I do not want any crap rods with braid cutting through the eyes or snaping when I set the hook I was hoping they got things figured out.

I ordered 2 new Cores and 2 new Curados One 51 and a 200E. I will be sending all three in very shortly to him I spoke to him over the phone I feel very comfortable dealing with DVT. Thanks for all your help RW you have made my life a lot easier.

I would go with the 200e or 50e then when you feel that try a core 50 thats special right their . Swear it is.

No you dont I have a BPS twenty minutes away. That place is like a magnet for your hard earned money then they give you credit and the wife just screams its like it a mistress or something but im sure that would be cheaper.

I bid on 4 shimano cores for around 230-250 a piece and I was blown away that I won all four. These reals were like new Left Hand Retrieve I was thinking noway will 230 bring in one boy was i wrong I got 4 Shimano core 50mg7 now lol I was only wanting one but boy am I happy.

I have to say I agree with this review. I have one of the spinning rods 68mlf I believe. I use it for finess and lighter stuff boy oh boy what a sweet rod and great backbone I am not scared of any bass in the lake with this rod it is truly a great rod..GOOD JOB FENWICK.

Shew I am relieved thanks I am going to order some north star jigs to I just dont think they will get here in time. I was just wondering if they infact came back clean or somewhat. I will be using a core50 with a shimano camara 7ft4 heavy rod with power pro 50lb first 20ft colored dark green. I hope this new setup will work. and of course with a rage crawl trailer..

Did I just waste money on these jigs? I bought what I think our jigs for punching 1oz grassmaster jig from TW. I wanted something to fish the heavy grass and muck here with minimal slop coming back up. Does anybody have any experience with these or could you recomend something that is proven if these will not work? I have not tried them yet I just have a tourney here within a week and I am in the process rebuilding my tackle as it was all stolen last week. So please recomend some good stuff for punching.

Ok so far I got 2 core 50 1 Curado 51e 1 Cumara rod 7ft4 heavy 1 st croix 7ft mh legend tournament 1 phluger supreme with fenwick smallmouth 7ftml Im working on nrx and some more legend tournament rods to finish out and I think I wIll add a Lews Tournament to see what the hype is. Ebay has saved a boat load of money so far I am only 1,687.82 in this thanks to dealer samples and sales I caught. Thanks to all you have been fantastic and helped make this a better experience than i could have expected. Now if going to keep searching for deals AND Tackle.
