  1. I'm stuck on a decision on what boat to purchase. I have a great 9.9 2 stroke evinrude (short shaft) (tiller) I traded a guy. I need something thats going to be stable. As myself, my son and his friend are not on the little side. I don't want anything pre-rigged as I would like to put on my own fishfinder and trolling motor. Need recommendations on those items also. Thank you for you help. FISH ON!!!!! Have a budget about 5K more or less!!!!
  2. 8-) hey all: Thinking about a J 16 carolina skiff with 9.9 short shaft (15" Transom) Any suggestions on rigging? Hows it on lakes and rivers? Is it pretty stable? Is the ride sort of smooth. W hat add on options should I get from the dealer?? Thanks.

  4. Hi all I'm new to this great site. I do have a question I need help with. I have been a salt water fisher for many years. I did some bass fishing last summer and got hooked. I just traded a guy for a Evinrude 9.9 2 stroke short shaft. lake in our areas mostly 9.9 only. Now I need a jon boat. My 14 year old son and I were thinking. Just by something plain jane and pimp out the jon boat for bass fishing. I need a 15" transom Most of the jon boats have 20:. I thought about a motor shaft extention kit. A little to pricy for me. I looked at Carolina Skiff J series 16' I'm trying to decide which would be better on the lakes and rivers in the Hampton roads area of Virginia. The Carolina skiff or a Modified "V" Jon boat. What would be better? More stable? Better fit for the 9.9. I can pimp out either one. Thanks.
