I know they are no Maintenance Batteries ... and I know they are not a Gel Cell. Thank you for your replies and patience with me not knowing much about batteries..

Just 12 V one is deep cycle and the other is a Cranking for the motor ...

I was wonder how much ventilation do these really need? I would be charging 2 batteries... Do I need to open the rear compartment where the batteries and charger are located? Can I charge with my Canvas Cover still on the boat ? I have a 2006 Nitro 750... The cover has an opening around the motor so there is some ventilation ?? Thanks in advance !

Has anyone used the trailer mounted retractable transom tie down straps? I was wondering about them always getting wet ?? do the last very long ? Thanks in advance..
