I was wonder how much ventilation do these really need?  I would be charging 2 batteries...   Do I need to open the rear compartment where the batteries and charger are located?    Can I charge  with my Canvas Cover still on the boat ?  I have a 2006 Nitro 750...  The cover has an opening  around the motor so  there is some ventilation ??

what kind of batteries?

 

Just 12 V  one is deep cycle  and the other is a Cranking  for the motor ...

 

flooded cell, agm?

 

Flooded cell I would vent, having the cover on is fine but prop the lid open to the battery area. No concern on an agm.

I know they are no Maintenance Batteries ... and I know they are not a Gel Cell.

I have been charging mine with the cover on and off with the compartment closed for about a year with no issues. 

Now I am not sure where I should mount it ??   I think I want to mount it on  box with the  X  ??
