Smaller Lakes In Springfield, Fairfax, And Burke
i've gone to mercer twice this year and both times i've pulled a 2.5 or over out of the stumps on a chartreuse KVD 1.5. if you can't get a jon boat down there get an inflatable, they're really compact and fairly light so you can carry them to any spot on the lake where launching is an option

Biggest Surprise/disappointment
Surprise: Berkley Shaky Worm, 5" in red shad. Tied these on with a red 4/0 ewg hook one rainy day and i spent the rest of the day cussing up a storm over line breaks due to big fish. Disappointment: Zoom Super Flukes. I don't know if it's the way i'm fishing them or the color or what, but i've never had a single tap on these lures.

Lily Pads At Lake Braddock
Thanks, i'll remember that on my next online ordering spree! Since we seem to be exchanging techniques, try a small jig like a Bitsy flip or a Baby Boo and throw on a Chigger Craw trailer. Light, but deadly. Although the 65lb braid does seem a little much.

Lily Pads At Lake Braddock
Maybe it's just because i never see anyone else do it. It's a fun technique, though, no denying that.

Lily Pads At Lake Braddock
Well it must not be a good technique since i'm the only one doing that...

Lily Pads At Lake Braddock
The lily pads at LB are getting pretty thick, am I the only one that's thought of putting a jig or creature bait through the canopy? Unless i'm the only one that's doing that... Went out today from 12:45-4:30, caught 8. The biggest was a 3-07, the rest went from 1 to 2 pounds.

Where Did You Catch Your Biggest Va Bass?
3-12 LMB out of Lake Royal on a Strike King Bitsy Bug jig w/a Netbait Paca Chunk trailer. Sightfishing during spawn. I may or may not have caught a 4-0 LMB in 2011 at Lake Royal, but i didn't have a scale on me.

Matzuo Kroaker Frog
It's a fairly good bait, i've gotten tons of hits on it, but bass get more lily pad than bait, so i've managed to land 2. But for 3.99, it's a good lure. After 50 or so casts, it starts taking on water, but you can just squeeze it all out

Any Unpopular/unknown Soft Plastics That Work For You? Or Maybe Any That You Make Yourself?
If you go on Bass Pro Shops' website and look at the Power Hawg's description, it said something about it being banned. I may have misinterpreted it, though

Any Unpopular/unknown Soft Plastics That Work For You? Or Maybe Any That You Make Yourself?
We've all heard of berkley powerbait. We've all heard of baby brush hogs. Put those two together and you get a banned soft plastic (in tournaments) known as the power hawg. I've got somewhere around 5 packs worth of them, they catch bass like crazy.

Private Ponds/lakes Cheating?
A private lake is only private if there's a fence around it and the people yell at you to leave
