I take the hooks off some of my broken crankbaits and cast them to various targets in my backyard.

When I have some heavy slop to fish a lure that always works for me is the heddon moss boss. There is nothing like a bass blowing up on topwater.

I fish shallow water most of the time because that is what I am best at. I am working on fishing deep water more so I have more options when the fish arent biting in my shallow spot. Eventually I hope I can perfect deep water and shallow.

I would have to say Iaconelli and Vandam. Even though Iaconelli is crazy alot he really seems to know his stuff and I like some of the articles I have read by him he is very good at explaining things. I like Vandam because he is just a flat out good fishermen he has a lot of good tips that he gives out on TV.

I am looking to buy a trolling motor sometime before spring and I was wondering which brand was better? Is it just personal preference? Thanks Aaron
