Hey im currently looking for a "how to" on getting sponsors. I am an avid fisherman and fish almost everyday(from spring to early winter) and have won multiple Bassin' USA tournaments. I am looking to go fish BFL or any other bigger tournament and was wondering how do you get sponsors? Do they just contact you after you start winning? Please someone, if you could help me out that would be awesome! Thanks.

Thanks you Sam! You have really opened my eyes to all the things that are really involved in this sport. I am like a sponge right now, soaking up all the information possible! I dont have any obstacles(no wife, kids) but financially, I am not ready to hit the road full throttle. I am currently trying to get my equipment and tackle built up and a bass boat will be next. 1 Step at a time is how im trying to do it. Im 25 and I dont know if that's too old or too young to start but I am very determined to make it to the pro's. I will be looking for the book and Yes I am a B.A.S.S member. I am glad someone kinda asked me all that stuff because now I know that there is much more to it than just hitting the water and fishing. I've always been a decent fisherman but now it's time to get serious and do what I have to to make it! Thank you again! P.S. I salute all my Vets and even know I went to Iraq and witnessed some life changing events, I can only imagine the things you went through! I dont know if they do but I am just getting into starting to take my fishing to the next level and I am determined to prove that I can compete and win with the best anglers in the country! Its all about confidence, learning bass as a species, and spending as much time on the water as possible! I will show everyone.. that dreams can come true! Whether your a seasoned pro or a beginner that has fished and studied fishing all your life! Fishing is my passion and its what I want to do with my life!
