  1. Exactly REVIVAL has this down above!!! he is fishing the early hours and late hours.. this is key to small ponds/lakes from shore.. you need to be there when the bass ARE at the shore level so you can catch them..
  2. Fish early if you can while it is still a tad dark, (5 am maybe 5:45 am) fish will have a better chance of being closer to she shoreline for you since you fish from shore. if in daylight after 9 am you need to go deeper a lot deeper during daylight hours. If you go for the evening bite wait until say 8:20 or later at night and then again hit the edges of the shore and the shallower water. the bass will move to the shorelines to feed right about dark and this can be fun times with any bait, topwater, jigs, senkos, anything.. Use the same baits you always use just switch your hours and strategy up a bit.. I am sure you will land some fish.. Let us know..
  3. Don't you have a 14 day return policy? then you can also purchase a extended warranty also the manufacture has a 1 year warranty you can use if you still have the receipt.. so you should be still covered either way
  4. Both videos are awesome, I ordered them both last year. Big Mouth and Big Mouth Forever. for the price of 2 jap crank baits you can get more information to use fishing.. http://www.glenlau.com/products.htm
  5. A Balanced bait I like the idea. As for color, If you have been diving as long as you have in the north east, where our waters are mostly pea soup stained all summer you will notice only 2 real colors are needed brown and black in the bait world people call brown green pumpkin.. as almost all baits look black or brown in 3 feet of water or more.. Can't wait until they hit the market and I will purchase a few clamshells it is already a proven BASE design so there is no doubt it will land fish..
  6. Yes the amber color is good for all weather conditions, whereas sometimes the dark/black would not be good fishing on a overcast Day. I would recommend the new strike king S11 Glasses, they are not to expensive so when they end up in the drink you won't cry that much, and they have Great reviews here in another thread by other forum members as well. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/116247-strike-king-s11-optic-glasses/page-2?hl=%2Bstrike+%2Bking+%2Bs11#entry1291182 I personally own the S11's myself and love them. You can get them on tacklewarehose or amazon. Good luck in your search. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=strike+king+s11
  7. A bottle of peroxide for under a buck and paper Towels is all you need. Been doing this for years. It dries fast and leaves no residue plus it kills germs.
  8. You don't need to go fishing to test the drag. Grab the line and give it a tug. Make adjustments as necessary. Also as others have stated if you have braided line without some kind of backing it will slip on the spool.
  9. Are you meaning short shank hook?? Vs gap? Sometimes a real small jig presentation can work to your advantage. Just like downsizing soft plastics. Put a smaller trailer on them like the old famous zoom swimmin chunk and give them a try.
  10. If you are getting snagged try working it a tad faster and yo yo it a bit more if you are a bank fisherperson, well get yourself a little boat if you can so you can at least get over to the area of a snag and free your bait, lip less baits can be very very productive... http://bassfishinschool.com/livetarget-crawfish-lipless-rattlebait/
  11. The Lure I have most confidence in is a JIG.. Each person will probably give a different answer. The real answer is there is no BEST LURE..... Confidence would be the best lure if there ever was one..
  12. Bass fishing has no real rules if you want to dropshot on a bait caster then do so.
  13. Slow dark colors and bulky. Jig. Would be key with a big trailer.
  14. I got a pair 2 weeks ago for 29.99. They work just as we'll as 300$ plus for 30$ if they fall in the lake I don't care.
  15. Rockraw from jdc baits is my go to http://www.jdcbaits.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=42_43&osCsid=a097c7ea1ded20f0d39c780754f377fe
  16. Fish your deeper areas with bigger baits, I use clearwater ledgebuster spinnerbaits in at least 2 ounces and fish 40 to 70 feet deep, This is somewhere that no normal dock pounding person will fish. You are rewarded with less bass but very quality bass if you can find the deep structure. http://www.strikezonelure.com/clearwater.htm This has become my favorite way to get bigger bass out of the waters.. Slow roll it so the blade just barely moves, and they will hammer it..
  17. A lot of times the skinny body is a result of plastic in the bass.. Remember not to discard your used plastics in the lake the fish will still pick them up even though they are not on the hook.. I wonder how many dead fish are out there just with the soft senkos that thousands are lost or flung off the hook everyday..
  18. Just seen this as well on Case Plastics Facebook. R.I.P Doug Hannon. For those who do not know what he accomplished well, your weedless prop was invented by him and a lot more in the BASS world.. http://www.wavespinreel.com/doug_hannon.html
  19. The PB&J look great , would pair up nice with the SK pro model jigs in PB&J
  20. Those brand of spinnerbaits seem to do that when you get a better fish on.... ( ledgebuster) the bass also hammer this baits with this technique... Slow rolling in deep water is something not many are doing and once you try it and land a few fish you will see what i mean they almost RIP the rod out of your hand.. lol
  21. I am going to only say this.. Remember there are 2 types of largemouth bass shallow cover bass ( loners hang out by cover docks trees pads stumps etc etc ) and Schooling bass ( longer thinner, but in deeper water where no one really fishes) get the heaviest spinnerbait you can.. I know there is ledgebuster spinnerbaits these go up to 2.5 ounces!! and there is also revenge spinnerbaits THE HD ones OR Find the deep drops off of weed beds and structure. Tie on a spinnerbait on at least 40# braid and let it sink right to the bottom,,, Dead stick ot for at least 15 seconds then give it a slight rip and start reeling to get it started.. Slow roll and then pause it as you work the bottom.. You will be rewarded with a few bass but each bass will be a nice fish.. I am going to do a whole video on this subject in the near future but here is a sample video of hat I am talking about http://bassfishinschool.com/75/
  22. I have a few videos on my site of me fishing the LIVETARGET Baits. They work for me that is all i can say http://bassfishinschool.com/
  23. At least 50. I love fishing the JIG
