Milfoil
I have numerous lakes and ponds around my area that are 3-6' deep and the whole lake is covered with milfoil. The milfoil comes 6-12" from the surface. I am not talking about the edges of the lakes and ponds I am talking about fishing the open water where the milfoil comes up almost to the surface..How would you fish this? I've fished weighted Texas rigged worms on heavy gear and weightless senkos with ok success..I've also caught fish on frogs when scum was present on the surface of the water. Thanks

How Would You Attack This Lake
LI basser is correct. It's in LI and fish do in fact survive the winter. This winter was the worst I've ever seen on LI. We had solid on ice on ponds from December until mid march. My guess is over 12" of ice because I have friends who have ice fished similar size and depth lakes on LI this winter and reported upwards of 18-24" of ice

St Croix Medium Light Rods
How do these compare to the mediums? Particularly the premier series looking to pick up a 6'6" spinning rod for 1/8oz jigs with plastics, small rapalas #8 husky jerk and #7 floater. and 1/8oz spinners. I have a 6'6" medium premier but it is quite stiff for the 1/8oz jig heads and grubs

Trout Advice
Hey guys so I am in need of a little bit of trout advice, i am an avid bass and river/stream trout angler but heres my problem i have never targeted trout in lakes. I have two lakes both 25-30 acres that have maximum depths of 35-40'. both lakes were formed by glaciers and are round in shape almost like a bowl. browns and bows are stocked each fall and spring in these ponds and i know for a fact these fish holdover (a friend of mine once did a dive on one of these lakes and said the browns were huge and looked like torpedosi am unsure of the forage at both these lakes the one lake just has trout, panfish and pickerel (no bass) how would you target these lakes for trout? I have read up a little bit and saw some guys vertically jig them but have never done that before PS none of these trout thy are all stocked fish that hold over

Oakleys???
COSTA sunglasses. they are specifically designed for fishing and being on the water. if you go on their website they have a lens selector so you can find out which exact type of lens shade/color suits your need. i will not wear any other sunglasses after wearing these
