  1. I've been real impresses with the way Sebert's brush head jig comes through lay downs
  2. I know this won't help you now but this morning I bested my previous pb on a black and blue Seiberts outdoor dredge jig and the water was chocolate milk that pb lasted an hour then was bested using a black and blue chatterbait those were the only two bites j got all morning so I vote black and blue
  3. I like to deflect them off wood like you would a square bill you don't lose as many from a boat I wouldn't fish them like that from the bank
  4. bluebasser86 I would definitely buy those the biggest problem I've had with the z-man chatterbait is how it gets hung up. I used an owner sled and the Phoenix blades from tw and some z-man skirts to make a few I love the idea of Texas rigging the trailer. We will see how effective they are in a month or so.
  5. It was my most productive presentation followed closely by swim jigs last season. It has replaced spinnerbaits and all but replaced square bills for me. I can't wait until the water gets soft around here so I can see if the ones I made work as good as I think they look
  6. Thank you for the responses I'm looking to get a couple new rods before spring. I have seen a lot of reviews on the champions on here but not much on the savvy's.Are there any other rods in the savvy price range that you guys can think of that would excel at what I'm wanting to do with them.
  7. Would a Dobyn's savvy 734 make a good swim jig-chatterbait rod and if so why and if not why not
  8. The rod is rated for 2oz so I'm thinking some Matt lures bluegills or others of that type nothing over 2oz obviously. I guess I'm asking if the action of the rod would work for swimbaits. I'm new to those so not sure what kind of rod would work.thank you for your replys.
  9. The reason I ask is that about half the lakes I fish around here have heavy grass mats. The other half not so much I hate to buy a rod that I can't use when I'm on other lakes.
  10. Do you guys think the icast bub's punch rod would double up as a light swimbait rod
  11. I love the dirty sanchez color its been deadly as a trailer on a black and purple chatterbait lately. I just picked up a pack of skinny dippers in the same color and cant wait to try them
  12. I use an Owner's sled head and I let it fall and bring it back like a spinnerbait I do color in the head with a black sharpy and have had the most luck with the lime-purple passion color
  13. i used an old minkota trolling motor the kind with the composite shaft and a 6x9 piece of plate steel the motor was shot so i cut the top and bottom heads off cut about a 4" groove in the shaft and bolted the plate steel in the groove works like a dream
  14. I live in Sullivan witch is about 30 miles south of Terre Haute I've been having alot of luck with a shallow crankbait on the farm pond I fish but can't seem to figure out what they want to eat at Lake Sullivan if any of you guys fish there and have some secrets they want to share I'm all ears
