  1. yeah it amazes me how those 6 hooks will get wrapped up in everything except a basses mouth
  2. Thanks sounds like it's Will work with my boat
  3. I like bluebasser86's rock and roll bladed jig
  4. Thinking of getting one for my 15'fishers flat bottom, and was wondering if anyone here has any experience with one on a Jon boat type.
  5. Seibert's dredge head June bug has been hot this weekend but black and blue has been good too I like the d bomb and xcite raptor tail with an inch bitten off as the trailer
  6. My favorite is the xite raptor tail Jr very good as a flipping bait and if you want a smaller jig trailer just bite off an inch and the best trailer I've found love this bait the claws float looks like a craw that is fighting in my opinion a very under appreciated craw but maybe I shouldn't say anything so I can still get them easily on tw
  7. I love the 7'3" mh *** *** last year that was my go to jig rod but I broke the end off of it when I hooked it with a square bill I was fishing last fall in my little 8' plastic boat I was heartbroken haven't had the extra funds to replace it until a couple weeks ago but that's when I found out about the *** 2s coming out so I think I'll wait until august but I still have the 7'1"H that is doing a good job as a replacement for now but can't wait until august

Got to be a jig pitched into heavy brush when I see that line move it gets me going better than a top water blow up
  9. Tried the lighter trick works like a charm thank you for the advice
  10. Thanks guys I appreciate the responses
  11. Hello this may be a dumb question. How is the best way to remove a snell knot from a flipping hook when you change baits. I have probably 50 hooks that have line on them and can't figure out a way to clean them up. I tried to tie over the old knot but didn't like the way it cinched up. I've tried pliers and cutters of all types and I really don't want want to throw all those hooks away.
  12. I love the rock and roll type that bb makes the hook is completely weed less so it comes through brush piles like a champ it has all but replaced square bills for me
  13. Where I live in Indiana I have found good fishing. Sullivan lake is better than most give it credit for. I also have access to a private lake that produces >5 lbers on a regular basis. I wish turtle creek would rebound 20 years ago it was world class and I pretty much live in the shadow of Hoosier Energy's stack. I've fished other places around the state but non as good as what's around here.
  14. By far my most successful is black and blue with a summer craw trailer
  15. And don't be afraid to mis-match the trailer and skirt by far my most productive color combo is black and blue skirt with a dirty sanchez little dipper on the back.
  16. Caught my pb crappie on one an 18" monster 15 years ago never weighed it but it tasted good
  17. When I started to get back into fishing square bills where my best friend
  18. 8 of my top 10 have came from the same 9 acre farm lake. The biggest one being a >7 lber caught on a bladed swim jig. The run down of the others is 2 more on the same bladed jig 2 on a flipping jig and the other 3 from that lake on a square bill. So I guess I'm in the "location being most important" camp.
  19. Summit is close my dad used to fish there every weekend until they moved to Florida I don't remember what the bank fishing is like but there are fish and it's clean
  20. There is a lake in Northeast Sullivan County North of Hymara where hooker and Boston creeks come together and it drains to form the east branch of busseron creek I am wondering if the lake is private or if it is accessible to the public
  21. this is my favorite picture of a Seibert's jig
  22. Seiberts dredge head jig kit $15 you get 5 jigs that are an absolute work of art and that brush head will snake through the nastiest stuff you can think to throw it in. I still have all 5 that I started with and each has caught multiple fish and one is always tied on.
  23. 7'1" *** black H, 7.3:1 13 ***, 20lb Seagur red label florocarbon and I use 3/8 to 1/2 oz C and C custom baits rock and roll style. My favorite color is black and blue with a dirty sanchez RI little dipper trailer on the half I'll go up to the skinny dipper
  24. This is my big fish bait 3 of the 4 5+ pounders I caught this year came off a chatterbait. I don't get a ton of bites but the ones I get tend to bigger.
  25. C&C custom baits "rock and roll" in black and blue with an RI dirty sanchez little dipper on the back
