im 15..the problem is that we don't really have and lakes within biking distance...i was just curious about some creative ways you got to go fishing when you were young

hey guys- what is the ideal cover underwater for fishing jigs. i am always confused when i should try a jig and when i shouldn't. does there have to be structure there or can i just throw it into open water with submerged weeds? p.s a lake I'm going to fish next weekend has a huge grass island with logs in the middle of the lake that sticks out of the water. would it work to pitch the jig into the little spaces in the island? please help!!!most lakes i fish are mostly weeds!

How did all of you convince your parents to go fishing when you were younger? i remember i would just beg my dad until he couldn't take it and would cave and take me fishing down at out local lake. im interested in hearing all of your answers

for lake michigan definitely live alewife nose hook them and the salmon should be all over them

hello forum! so the other day i was on one of my favorite lakes and i decided to throw a buzz bait for the first time in clear water.... KIlled it! i was using a bps buzz bait. so anyway i want to learn more about these baits like: when to fish them where to fish them what colors work in clear water and baits you would reccomend and also if you would choose a lure such as a pop-r over a buzz bait and why thanks!

start with basic lures that will catch lots of fish and big ones...in my opinion that lure is a plastic worm of your choice Good Luck!

don't know about deeper water but look for them in the weeds that are the greenest compared to the yellowish brown dying ones

hey guys i was out on the water this morning for about 4 hours..caught a few decent fish but the more important thing is i went the whole time with no backlash!! so excited that i learned to use one of these reels! thank you all!

like a-rob said i would start shallow and as the day progresses fish deeper. make sure you use heavy t-rigs or lures to get it through the thick stuff!

I've found that the bass will wait in hiding spots in the shoreline and wait for baitfish that are washing in with the tide..use a spinnerbait that matches your baitfish! good luck!

hey guys! i was wondering if you could give me some tips on lipless cranks such as: when to fish them where to fish them favorite technique to fish them and favorite lure I've got a big collection of clackin raps from rapala....anyone have personal experience with them?

work the shoreline on the incoming tide with a lure such as a spinnerbait I've had some luck fishing various rivers that way

thank you so much i was using 10lb fleurocarbon but i will definitely use mono now. and the tape thing definitely seems like it would work!

does anyone have any tips to help prevent backlash? the backlashes usually occur right at the beginning of the cast . some casts are great and then i will get one where it just completely birds nests does the type of line make a difference?
