Yo-Zuri Hybrid: Ultra Soft Or Regular For My Revo Sx?
It's pretty much my last resort. If it's manageable and easy to cast, and doesn't absorb water.....sold. I understand that the ultra soft is marketed towards spinning gear, but does it not work well on a bc?

The Rage Tail Anaconda. A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words.
The Rage Rig is about all I use now. It has over taken the Texas rig for me, as I like the profile as it falls much better than a t-rig. Like you said, that tail is tilted up and wagging like crazy as it flutters down. I was a big fan of the Grandebass MTRS, but the Anacondas blow them away. I gotta try out the Recon Worms next.

New Revo S + Veritas
I might sell off my Black Max 2 and the Vendetta it's on to help finance "Operation REVO S". Wonder what I could get for them?

Flouro Problems
I've had issues with fluoro as a main line, and I've given up. Not gonna spend big money on line. Gonna give Yo Zuri a try, since it seems like it's the perfect mix between fluoro an mono.

Yo-Zuri Hybrid: Ultra Soft Or Regular For My Revo Sx?
After experimenting with different fluorocarbon lines and being disappointed, I'm ready to try out a copolymer line and see if it's what I've been looking for which is less water absorption than mono, and much softer than fluorocarbon. I use primarily Trilene XL 12# with some KVD, and it's super soft and manageable and casts like a dream. If it didn't absorb so much water, I would be in heaven but it's like a sponge after an hour of fishing. So I'm ready to see what all the fuss is about with the Yo Zuri, but I see they make an ultra soft too. My question to those that have used this before, is the ultra soft the way to go for a bait cast reel? Is it noticeably softer and more manageable/better casting than the regular Hybrid? Which should I go with? This line will be going on my Revo SX and my Black Max. Thanks.

Best Line For Baitcasters
I always spray some KVD on the whole spool and let it dry for a day or two, then douse it once more as it's going on my reel. I might have to order some of the Yo Zuri Ultra Soft. I like the Trilene XL I use, but after an hour of fishing it's saturated with water and swells up too much.

Best Line For Baitcasters
So is it pretty soft? Been pretty disappointed in the fluoro I've been trying out.

Best Line For Baitcasters
I'm confused about this stuff. Is it really a fluorocarbon line or is it a mix between mono and fluoro? I'm assuming that's the case hence the word "hybrid", but I haven't read anything in depth regarding water absorption or stiffness.

Does A Smaller Diameter Line Cause Problems With Bcs?
So if my Revo SX is rated for 12lb test, would going to 10 cause me any issues?? I don't use braid at all, so that's not any option for me.

Dessicant Packets?
That's why my vote goes to the rice! Plus you aren't putting poison around your lures, or yourself.

New Revo S + Veritas
I hope to find a Veritas on the cheap in the next few weeks so it will be ready for my new Revo S. Amazon has the Veritas pretty cheap right now. Well under retail.

Sensitive Rods
For under $100 you can't go wrong with an Abu Garcia Vendetta. The Abu Garcia Veritas can usually be found under $100 too depending on where you look. Both are very sensitive in my experience, and are probably the best bang for the buck rods out.

Jigs With Rattles
I personally haven't noticed a difference using jigs with rattles. If anything, get some worm rattles and stick them in your trailer. Probably be cheaper in the long run.

Dessicant Packets?
I don't do this but I've heard of some fisherman putting some rice in a part of a nylon stocking and tying it up and placing it in their rod lockers in their boats to keep moisture out of their reels.I heard u can do this with fish finders that have moisture in the displays. The rice draws the moisture out. May be worth a shot with tackle.

Light Lure/baitcaster
I use my spinning rod for all of my light work. Like BrianinMD said, there's no use fighting and picking out backlashes when u don't have to. Some stuff just words better on spinning gear.

The Rage Tail Anaconda. A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words.
Finally decided to give the Anacondas a try despite having a ton of Grandebass MTRS I have yet to try. The bite has been super slow, but second cast yesterday morning using a 7" Anaconda in the double header color I land this sucker who weighed in at 2.89lbs. I can't wait to see what the 10" version lands me.

New Revo S + Veritas
Definitely will be picking up the new revo s and a veritas. I already have a revo sx and a black max 2, so I'm wanting to try a reel with centrifugal brakes. Plus that combo just looks sweet.

Spinning Reel Under $100
Take a look at the Okuma Trio 30. I have had this reel for awhile now, and it's amazingly smooth and has an awesome drag system and is incredibly light weight. I can't say enough about it. Amazon has them for around 50 bucks. It's probably one of the most underrated spinning reels out.

Ok, Bearings Are Clean.
You can't go wrong with Reel Butter IMO. It lasts, and it's not overly thick so it was a good choice. When I have to tear down my Revo SX I'm gonna use some, or maybe try some Quantum Hot Sauce as I've heard great things about that stuff.

Review: Yo-Zuri Hybrid
Thanks. I will have to give this a shot then.

What Do You Use Your Medium Baitcasting Rod For?
This, although my medium vendetta is much stiffer than a normal medium. I can use that sucker for crank baits pretty effectively.

My Review Of Spiderwire Ez Flouro. Short And Sweet.
I was using 12# test on my Revo. Not really sure what to say besides it came off in big coils, was incredibly stiff after some KVD treatments, and was just too unmanageable. I even tried to take some off to see if that would help things a bit but it was still horrendous. Knots were incredibly tedious to tie in comparison to the P Line I have on my reel now. Stay far away from this stuff.

Review: Yo-Zuri Hybrid
I hate fluorocarbon, and like mono except for the water absorption. I'm not gonna use braid because in my lake I don't have to, and I'm not gonna spend a lot on line if I don't have to. How does this stuff compare to say Trilene XL when it comes to manageability and soaking up water? Thanks.

I Think Im A Abu-Garcia Guy Now
The only problem with the Max reels is the side to side play in the handle/gear box. I know some is normal, but the Max reels have a ton of it compared to my SX. I have a Black Max 2 and it works great, but I wonder if that play will someday kill the gear box?

Red Hooks ? Fact Or Fiction ?
I've noticed this marketing ploy as well. So many conflicting "science" when it comes to fishing tackle these days. Like you, I only purchase the red hooks if they are cheaper than the regular ones. The red hooks don't usually stay red for long anyway, as that coating tends to chip off pretty easy anyway.
