I'm wanting to buy a rod from them online, and was wondering if any of you have ever ordered one from them? If so, is it packed well, and is the rod new and wrapped in plastic? I really don't wanna get a broken tip like some of my rods from Amazon that were poorly packed. Thanks.

Another good worm is the Grandebass MTRS. Same body as a Rage Tail recon worm, but a slightly slimmer tail. Academy has them for $1.88 a bag right now if anyone wants to give them a shot.

Just got some Xcalibur XRKs and some Red Eye Shad, and was wondering if they perform better with or without a barrel swivel? And if a barrel swivel is recommended, what size?? Thanks.

Got my S. Just now picked it up from BPS. I must say, you were right. This reel screams quality, and is ridiculously smooth. Is it me, or is Abu using better spool bearings in the Gen 3s? The spool spun forever compared to my REVO SX. I can't wait to take this sucker out for a day. I exchanged my Veritas with the cracked guide. I checked my new one over about 10 times to make sure it didn't have the same issue. Only I get it home, and see the second guide from the bottom looks like it's cracked lol. I can't win. I'm just gonna try to get some epoxy and put a dab to seal it off and be done with it. I love my Revo SX and Vendetta combo, but the S and the Veritas just feel so much better. Good call Rock.

The Black Max is a great reel for the money. Mine casts a mile, and is smooth as butter. It's a great all purpose reel without breaking the bank.

I have "sledgehammer elbow", and it side lined me for about a month. A good day of fishing aggravates it's so, no it's not to be taken lightly.

LMAO! I'm sure I will love it. My Veritas is just sitting in the corner mocking me, but my tracking says that my reel is on their "retail truck", so hopefully I don't have much longer to wait. Does it have a clicker in the drag and spool tension knob??

I bought the hooks and weights to use the drop shot, but have yet to try it out. I have no idea why either, since I'm sure it's gonna produce.

I keep some of my catches, but if I have enough in my freezer then they go back. I have a crazy work schedule this year, so I think I've maybe kept 5 total this whole year because we just aren't having fish frys on a regular basis like we used to. I just enjoy being out on the lake, and the challenge that bass fishing presents.

I got my Revo S on the way. Rockchalk talked me into getting one, and he's been raving about his. Seems like the S may be the best one in the Revo lineup this year.

I can make snap casts with my black max, but my revo sx gets it's panties in a wad and wants to overrun a little too much. I'm hoping the S will be more forgiving and give me time to refine my casts more.

This will be my first centrifugal brake system. Is it pretty easy to set up? The main reason I wanted the S, was because my back lashes come from me whipping my casts. Will the brakes on the S eliminate that? I sure hope so, as my Revo SX is driving me insane.

Good advice guys, thanks. I ended up buying 4 SK Red Eye Shads, a couple of the Academy Xpress Rattlin Ts, and an Excalibur One knocker. That should give me more options that my Rat L Traps. Pretty excited about the SKs, as I've been reading some good things about them.

Tracking says its on its way to my store so should definitely have it before my trip. You should make a youtube review on the reel for us rock.
