Has Anyone Tried Mangler Lures?
By the looks of them on youtube, they are very nice. Once I get them in my hand I may change my mind.

Has Anyone Tried Mangler Lures?
I just ordered 4 of the 4inch cranks. When I get them, I may post pics and review on here. Some guy on youtube was showing them off, and he says they are par with luck craft cranks. For $2 a piece I had to give them a try.

Has Anyone Tried Mangler Lures?
Saw some nice crankbaits at themangler.com for $2 a piece. Anyone ever try these? If so, are they decent quality??

Rage Tail Smokin Roosters: Which Way Is Up?
Fish in my lake are suspended, so maybe I'll try the fall/swim/fall technique to get them. Fishing the bottom this month isn't working like it was last month unfortunately.

Fish My Local Lake: Tell Me How You'd Fish It.
I'm kind of stumped on how to get these suckers to bite, so I'm gonna rely on you guys to give me some tips to try out to see if it triggers some strikes. Here is the lake report for Douglas Lake http://www.tnfish.org/FishingReports_TWRA/ReservoirFishingReportsTennessee_TWRA.htm Tell me how you would fish it, and what I should try.

Jimmy Houston Tearing It Up On Pearl Dinger Wacky Style
I have a few packs of dingers, but I've just never gotten around to fishing them. Nothing on my lake is working, so it can't hurt to break these out and see what happens.

Rage Tail Smokin Roosters: Which Way Is Up?
Thanks for the help guys. I just fished it for a bit and I was amazed at how cool the bait looks in the water, especially with that rage rig fall. When fishing this, I was letting it drop for a few seconds, then popping it back up and repeating. Is this how it should be done??

First Smallmouth!!
I love lmbs and smallies both, but you can't beat the fight of a smallie. Fun fun fun.

Rage Tail Smokin Roosters: Which Way Is Up?
I'm trying to rig these up, but I'm unsure of what is considered the top of the bait. Are the eyes of the bait supposed to face up or down? What's got me confused is there is a groove on one side of the bait that I was assuming would help keep the hook more weedless, but then that puts the eyes of the bait "looking down" in the water. I've never really used creature baits before, so I don't wanna rig them wrong.

You Guys Ever Have Days Where You Fish For 2-4 Hours Without A Bite?
Me and my girl went last night, and didn't get anything. I'm pretty sure that between us, we threw everything we had in our boxes and still nothing. Our lake sucks though. It's Douglas Lake in TN. It's man made, with 0 cover or vegetation, and rocky like no other on the bottom.

Just Picked Up Some Spiderwire Ez Fluoro. Knot Suggestions??
I'm definitely gonna give that one a try, along with the triple loop knot. I will have a review of this line next week sometime for those interested.

Rage Tail Menace
Thank you sir. BPS didn't have the 5/O 1/4 oz so I got the 4/O instead. Hopefully they work just as well. I cannot wait to try my roosters out today. It's been a slow month on the lake, and I'm hoping that the roosters wake the fish up for me tonight. Got them in Bama Bug, black blue fleck, and Okeechobee craw.

Frustrated
August is a horrible month here in TN. We've had a ton of rain, and cold fronts one week, and blazing hot the next. Temps are starting to stabilize, but other than a nice smallie, I haven't done much this month.

Just Picked Up Some Spiderwire Ez Fluoro. Knot Suggestions??
I've used mono pretty much my whole fishing life, but I am tired of the line plumping up on the spool and reducing my casting distance. I wasn't sure what to get, so I went with Spiderwire EZ Fluoro. I soaked the entire spool in some KVD LnL, so I won't be using it until this weekend. This will be my first time using fluorocarbon line, so hopefully it works out well. Any recommendations on knots I should be using? I've heard you can use a palomar knot if you make sure the line is wet when you tie, but others say no.

In Trouble From Fishing
We use my gf's aunts boat when we go fishing, but next year I'm gonna buy my own and I figure that will be when I get to sleep on the couch, eat cold meals, and be in the dog house constantly. I need a house boat!!!

Rage Tail Menace
Not trying to hijack this thread, but what size hook and weight would I need to rage rig a rooster??

Does A Smaller Diameter Line Cause Problems With Bcs?
I was gonna stick with mono or fluro. I fish open water with little to no cover, so I don't have the need for braid. Maybe I will just get some fluro and hit it with some KVD LnL.

Newest Is Best, In My Lineup
I'm a huge tackle junkie too, but I like to stick with what I know. I was in the market for a new bait cast reel, and was dead set on the Revo SX. I knew the gen 3s were hitting soon, but I've had the pleasure of using the gen 2 quite a few times since my girlfriend has one, and just had to go with the gen 2. I don't necessarily believe that newer is better, as companies will put out an amazing product one year, only to cheapen it the next.

Nice Smallie I Got Last Night
I fish in Douglas Lake here in TN, and the smallie population is pretty low, so this was a nice surprise. Caught it on a black neon Grandebass Megatail rattlesnake 8 incher. Fished weighed just over 2.4lbs, but wasn't a keeper since it has to be 19".

Choosing Spinning Reels
I use a Okuma Trio 30 spinning reel. IMO, a 30 is the perfect size for bass fishing.

Switching To Lefty
I've never understood how right handed people like myself, crank with their right hand. All of my gear is lefty retrieve. just seems more natural to me to fight the fish with my strong hand/arm, and retrieve with my left hand.

What Makes You Keep Fishing?
This. I work a very hectic schedule in grueling conditions, and just being out on the water just melts everything else away. No stress, no worrying about this or that, just me, peace and quiet, and me in my own little world. It's therapeutic for me.

Does A Smaller Diameter Line Cause Problems With Bcs?
Now usually I use just plain old trilene 12# line, but I'd really like to try Spiderwire's 12# line, as it's diameter is drastically smaller and I'm assuming give me better casting distance. Would also let me do some shakey head fishing without lugging my spinning gear around. I've heard that using any line that your BC isn't rated for can cause issues with overruns which I don't want. Could I use a smaller diameter 12# line without any issues? The reels I use are a black max 2 and a gen 2 revo sx. Thanks.
