I agree, belly color is what I worry about most too.

Just a quick question, why do companies worry about the color of the top of topwater frogs when they are designing them? It isn't like the fish is going to see it, so why waste the money on paint for it? I may be missing something here, but it doesn't make sense to me.

Well, me being a young angler, I might not have as much experience as some of the other members. Anyway, couldn't you fan cast with a crankbait allowing it run on the bottom, so it sent back a physical feeling of what you were bumping into? You could try to remember what kind of structure was there and where it was located on the lake or reservoir. I know you couldn't see the lure, but could this work? Correct me if i'm wrong please. -DO

It could have been a snakehead as a few others mentioned before. From what I heard, and this could be wrong, the snakeheads have gotten to be pretty bad on the Potomac River in Northern Virginia. Tight lines everyone. -DO

Looking for a new crank rod and was wondering what everyones favorite one is. Going to want to throw everything from shallow to deep diving crankbaits. Not a brand specific type of guy, i'm open to everything, although I do prefer a rod that is 7' or over. Thanks for your time. -DO
