  1. I rather like this definition.
  2. I'm either the tree magnet or the catches everything but fish guy.
  3. I just plug in my laptop HDMI port to my TV and watch YouTube videos for free. I could also watch Netflix this way too if I wanted, but I haven't been on there to look for fishing videos. Are there a lot on there?
  4. I just run through the calculations. How many times and places have I run a specific lure, how many times I think I need to. How many times I have thrown it using a different retrieve. What the weather is doing, what the water temperature is. I try to remember everything I see on the forums here and the articles I've read, and videos I've watched to try and implement the different techniques. Unfortunately, all this thinking doesn't seem to really help. The places I have to fish at the moment only produce on T-rig with green pumpkin/watermelon colors with a hint of blue. It doesn't seem to matter, post spawn/spawn/pre-spawn/middle of the summer/fall. If the water is not frozen over and I throw this setup long enough or slow enough, that is what they hit. I'm trying to figure out new lures and baits but they don't hit anything else it seems. I've only caught a couple fish on a couple other lures at random.
  5. I've only traveled through Kentucky. I wouldn't mind a trip to visit (and fish).
  6. Nice, I didn't know we had a calculator on here. Maybe I should look around more
  7. This has to be it. It's the most believable thing I have heard.
  8. This is cool, but I am curious to know how accurate it is. According to this, a 25" bass would be nearly 10lbs. I have never caught anything that big so I can only look at the lower end around 3-4lbs. Which, compared to what I have caught, seems to be accurate within 1/4 lbs. It would seem to me though, the longer they are, the more the girth could throw the scale one way or the other.
  9. I have no idea, just wanted to say, nice fish.
  10. I do this all the time. I'm not sure that it does any good for me specifically, but it seems like it would be effective.
  11. I might actually be able to swing the trip this year if my house sells. I hope I can. This would be the first of many I hope.
  12. Wow, nice! Can't wait for the details.
  13. Yeah, they are putting one in Loveland CO, which is about an 1.25 hours from my house, but it is way closer than the one in Denver, CO which is 2.5 hours if we don't have to stop and feed the children or baby in that time frame. Only problem is that the sign has been up for almost a year and they haven't broken ground yet. I think I'll call HQ like you suggested.
  14. True. I think I'll switch my vote to a snapper.
  15. Well, I don't know about the OP, but I don't even have a spare $100 to get a used one, and since there are so many rivers around here, the cheapest used one I could find was over $300 and I wouldn't sit in that one if you paid me, it was pretty nasty looking. I have had a couple other people tell me to do the same, and I will eventually do that, but I can get a jon boat for not much more expensive than a kayak, so it will just have to wait for now.
  16. I understand. Elk hunting sounds fun, how did you do? Well I can certainly give the buzzbaits a try. Getting out on a boat sounds pretty amazing. If it wouldn't be too much trouble I would love to go. Let me know when you have time and I should be able to clear my schedule. Thank you so much!
  17. Well, I tried out Lonetree this morning. Slightly raining, not enough to stop me, but I spent about 30 minutes walking from the boat ramp parking to nearly halfway around the lake and decided I didn't have enough time to get to the one spot I thought might be good and turned around and walked back. That being said, is there a faster way to get to that little cove around the northeast corner walking? That seems to be the best spot to bank fish. Otherwise it looks like a lot of the lakes around here that are really only worth it if you have a boat.
  18. Well, it looks like there is only a couple more tournaments for Centennial Bass Club. I guess I'll sign up towards the spring if I'm going to be here next year.
  19. Oh, and is Lonetree a place where you should really have a boat? It seems like it is that way with Boyd. Is there any good cover near shore? I don't really want to waste a ton of time walking around only to see not much structure or cover from the bank. Thanks for all the help.
  20. I didn't realize that was an explicit term. I meant take, eat, grab. Something like that.
  21. I know muskies will ****** ducks. I'm not sure if they would do that to a turtle or even if you would have any there. They recently put some in the ponds around here to "manage fish populations" but mostly they are just tearing everything up and eating the larger animals, birds and what not.
  22. I haven't met you guys, but congratulations anyway. That's awesome!
  23. Nice, congrats on your boat as well.
  24. Well, someone told me about Seaman Reservoir, but I drove up there and the rode was closed. I'm going to be down in Loveland tomorrow, so maybe I can try out Lonetree. Do you have to pay to park there?
