I had the same boat at one time time and it was a pretty fast boat with the old 2.4 200 merc till i blew it up so i thougt what the heck!! and hung a 260 on the back wow was that thing a hand full that boat wasent made for the kinda speeds i was trying to run it i could run up to about 82 and it would just get to unstable... So i figured if i wanted to go fast and I DO i better get me a Allison so I did and now with the old motor i could 99.7 im putting a promax on it this winter ill lose some speed but it will last a little longer then the 260s do

better hole shot better load carring but less top end but what would help if we knew what the pitchs of the props are

Traveler you need to let me take you out in my allison the next time im down on the Potomac it is a really good riding boat in bad water and waldorf aint but about a hour from my house hell come up in the spring and lets hit Raystown

When i use the Sqr bills in weeds i use 17pnd floro so i can rip it througe and yes they will get a reaction strike when fish are inactive i like to use the silent sqr bills on inactive fish

I do think that the Potamac river can be one of the nastys place on the east coast when the wind pics up but man i love that place

waves that big are big in any part of the Country.. When waves are that big i go slow but ill trim up just enough so if i need to gun it the nose will pick up just a bit if i trim it all the way down when you stab the gas it wants to drive the nose down but slow and steady is your best bet

If the the presure is low get up on the bank with squre bills and if its high get on the points with little georges
