Anyone use glass rods for other specific tequniques? positives? negatives?

Are you using a snap swivel or tying on directly to the spook? I've notice with snaps this happens a ton more

^+1. I have 2 of the 3 ( don't have the revo sx but have a gen 2 s) and would put it in that exact order.

Was looking through the walmart sale online and they have the quantum smoke 150 righty for 147,as well as, the shimano curado lefty for 132. Hope this helps any going to buy one of these soon.

I guess I'm gonna be the negative one. There is a place by my job in Parsippany, nj. The place is on 46 and let me tell you they were trying to sell there stuff for 175% Msrp. Jitterbugs were somewhere around 9$ . PLACES like this I can't stand being a frugal fisherman and all. I just cant pay that much when I know I can get almost 2 for the price they are charging

So during this past winter I decided to buy my first baitcaster ,a kvd combo for 100 at bps. Since then I have bought roughly 1 a month, ranging from cheap to fairly pricey.I guess the question is, Do you guys buy just to buy what's new and exciting like me? Or are you fisherman more frugal in your approach? I know it ain't the equipment that catch fish but I just can't resist!

I know most guys aren't a fan of quantum reels on here but if anyone is looking to buy an exo, save yourself some money and head to walmart.com. They have the exo right now for 175.xx right hand only, I think. Hope this helps someone out. I know these reels are 249 on twh

Anyone every drop shot and instead of using a weight used a jig and trailer (or a tRig) instead? My thought process is having 2 baits at different eye levels increasing more chances of a strike. Good idea/bad idea? Thoughts?

Didn't go through the whole checkout process for this site but I found a website a while back like this. You had to buy a certain quantity and then at the end of checkout the shipping was obsurd. For example if reel A was 300 here it was 105 there plus 170 for shipping

Let me start off by saying that i love braid. I have fished with straight braid and also braid with a flouro leader. i havent notice a situation where the fish maybe spooked by braid. i guess my question is- do most of you guys fish with a leader when fishing braid? Of do you guys fish with straight braid(no leader) ever have "fished spooked" from it?

people will hate this statement but the kvd quantum from bass pros aint bad (99$) 10bb reel smooth casting cast a mile i have 2 with no problem it aint my revo/villain combo by far by for a 100 it aint bad

i have thrown all 3 companies and i like the abu revos. i find they are engineered not put together just my opinion

Just bought the fila skela toes and love them. They have a mesh upper and feel like you are wearing nothing on your feet

I have a villain 7'1 as well and can cast 5/8 frogs a mile as well. (Revo s gen 2)
