  1. Can't wait. There will also be one in Sayreville of the parkway/rt 9. Think the end of this year is what I saw last
  2. i did check out tw but they dont demo out the ci4 just yet which sucks .. thanks for your help everyone i might sit on it and wait
  3. I use a smoke, lews tour pro, and a revo s gen 2 I went to dicks sporting goods (near me) really disappointed on there in store selection. Wanted to handle the core and ci4 and you guessed it they don't carry those in store Period. The have the caenan and curado. And that's it. Super disappointed call the other 2 near me as well with the same result. Can't wait until bps come to jersey- hopefully by the end of this year. To make things worse I went online and they have only right handed models available
  4. Paul from Somerset county. Fish usually locally plus some in Morris county. Also, the raritan river on occasion
  5. thanks it will be might first shimano so i just wanna make sure i like it a lot
  6. A few gift cards for Christmas. New ci4 or core51 and why? Most likely throwing weightless senkos, possibly used as an all around reel? Input will be greatly appreciated
  7. Buy one get one 1/2 off Obvious only certain brands and types. Hopefully this helps someone
  8. Not Fluoro(more memory than the others). I loved braid when I started and had trouble with mono. With more experience , and learning my braking system better I can do either one (braid or mono) I would start with braid 30pound test Power pro or suffix but if u wanna go cheap -spiderwire
  9. Anyone know about their(ardent) quality? Under 6oz and 13 bearing FOR 150$
  10. It happen to me as a newbie to baitcasting(not saying you are just saying I was) You said it is happening closet to the handle -same here. I was so worry about backlashing that I would thumb the spool. Problem was on the retrieve I would hold the reel- opposite side of crank- and still be thumbing it slightly Finally realizing I wasn't allowing the line to completely go from side to side and it would build up more on the crank side. Stupid and small problem ( and some of u can even chuckle at it) but if this story helps anyone it's worth posting. Good luck
  11. Thanks i purposely have a section I just made for all my tackle in the garage. you guys had me worried
  12. Bringing the tackle inside the house? What effect does storing the tackle, say in the garage have?
  13. tour pro.. but if you said upgrade a couple of reels? id get both lol TP has dual breaking .. bb1pro has external centrifugal braking system (it looks like it replaces the dual- check out the review on youtube) but i cant speak for the bb1 pro. i do own a tour pro and love it
  14. ***\lews tourney pro. My combo to throw everything on right now
  15. Most likely what bigbill said. You are loading the newer rod more and causing the spool to over rev and backlash. Adjust the brakes accordingly and try an easier, smoother cast. Here's an analogy -It's like golf, pro crush the driver and it looks effortlessly but you see guys at the range "swing out of there shoes" and it goes 200 nice and easy and it will go far
  16. ^+1. If your happy fish it. I bought one as a combo from bps and fished it as my first setup. Loved the thing at the time. It was light,11 bb and the Eva knobs are nice Breaking system is ok. Let me put it this way- it's made for mass production - it's not engineered. . It's a good reel. Not a great reel. (Also have revo, lews tourney pro, smoke).
  17. TW, Dicks, wal-mark and BPS
  18. At least 1 black and 1 white. Most of the natural color frogs (green) have white under bellies anyway
  19. NO- i have only fished it once for 5-10 minutes that day. nothing was really working i might have caught one on a senko that was it in an hour of fishing
  20. Let me start off by saying that this is not some review and that i am by no means a good frog fisherman. with that being said- i bought this treckel frog and really like this concept. it doesnt walk really well but i think that this frog's purpuse is not for that.. the feet make crazy noise and commotion(with these type legs) when retrieved at a slow steady pace. i love walking frogs but i like the innovation and new creation of products. good job thinking outside the box . just my 2 cents
  21. I have 3 of the products your buying- the lews tourney pro, the *** and the smoke. You will love them all. Don't lose patients with the smoke. It's tough to dial in but will cast a ton. I decided to keep mine after having it up here in the flea market
