  1. Fished Alligator Alley MM 39 north side, Sunday 11/11/12, from dawn till 11:30. Water levels are still high and the bass are way back in the pads. You had to keep a close eye on your line for any movement and set the hook quick, or you would get wrapped. Water temps have dropped almost 20* in the last three weeks, Florida bass usually dont like sudden drops. Winds were high with a steady 20 MPH after 9:00. We put the sea anchor out and slowed the drift to a controlable speed. Most fish caught on zoom trick worms, watermelon glitter color. We caught 19 bass the biggest was 3.5 LBS. Not a bad day for high water conditions,
  2. Hey, I want to say welcome back. I too am a Florida angler and fish the south end and even up to the Stick Marsh. I want to tell you about another great Florida fishing site with lots of info about our state. The site is FLORIDA BASS NETWORK and will help with up to date fishing info on Orlando and the entire state. Good luck, George
  3. Welcome Alex, I am George and have lived in South Florida, just west of Fort Lauderdale. I fish only fresh water, and fish the Everglades, and Lake Okeechobee most of the time. I have read about your golden perch and they seem to get quite big. What freshwater bodies do you fish, and do you have to watch out for crocks in those waters. In the everglades we have large alligators, but even the large ones will do everything they can to leave you alone. Just dont go in the water at night. Alex, nice talking to you and good luck. George
  4. Hey Mike, Im another Florida guy, but the other end of the state. Im from Davie Fl. just west fo Fort Lauderdale. I have been fishing down here over 30 years and love Florida. Good luck fishing, there are soooo many fish and soooo little time. George
