  1. I believe they are talking about the lake record. Obviously the world record is a lot bigger than 15lbs.
  2. Sounds good but I don't think the megastrike had anything to do with it. I know I'm going to get hate for saying that but I feel that bass will not hold onto a hardbait regardless of how good it tastes.
  3. There are a lot of very good swimbaits for just a little more that will last through 100+ fish. Spro bbz1 jr.- $20 Black Dog Baits G2 Shellcracker- $20 River2sea S-waver- $18 Cheap swimbaits are built of hollow plastic that expands with the tiniest bit of heat. I left a strike king sexy swimmer in a box in the shade on a 95 degree day and the back swelled up. It doesn't even swim anymore.
  4. Birth defect? It's a toad regardless. Looks like those chartreuse claws did the trick!
  5. I've found that it turns the topwater bite on. Parallel the shoreline with a bait that makes a lot of commotion but moves fairly slowly in terms of forward motion (Buzzbait, spook, wakebait, popper). If the topwater bite is not on pitch a jig.
  6. Swimbait Fish The Baits- Gan Craft Jointed Claw 178 6" Huddleston 3:16 Baby Wake PowerTeam Lures Swinging Hammer
  7. Here's a few fish from the past weeks on some jigs and swimbaits. Nothing over 2lbs but this is the best I can do in highly pressured public ponds. Jigs used- Gann's Performance Tackle Hummer Jig *** Lures *** Trailers- PowerTeam Lures Craw D'oeurve SK Rage Craw
  8. I've got a kershaw leek assisted open my grandpa gave me for christmas 2 years ago and it's still going strong. Haven't had to sharpen it once. I only use it for opening stuff and camping so I'm not cutting wire with it or anything that would mess up the blade. Love it and it's nice and small.
  9. Beautiful shot! That looks like the mouth of a 7-8lber.
  10. nice collection! Is that a rago tool on the left with the open mouth?
  11. I will happily pay up to $100 for a hard swimbait because the chance of losing one is very low. I would never buy a $10 jig. I lose way too many jigs for that. $5 is my limit for a jig.
  12. Probably anywhere from a 1/16 to 1/4 of an ounce based on size. I haven't weighed any but I'm holding a 5.5" shadalicious in one hand and a 1/4 oz. tungsten in the other and they feel about the same.
  13. Somewhere in the 2- 2.5lb range. Get a scale.
  14. No matter what brand, they are going to chip. I use vike and picasso because they don't fray the line.
  15. Catching 20 fish of someone else's lifetime is more fun than catching one fish of your lifetime IMHO.
  16. Spro bbz1 jr. Only $20 so if your bait gets stolen by a snot rocket it's not a huge slap in the face.
  17. I bought a baby hardgill for $50 shipped.
  18. Owner ST-46's. Not sure of the size, probably a 1.
  19. Its been rough here in northern va as well. One small rain shower in the past two months. Bluebird skies every day and 95 to 100 degrees. My favorite pond is 3 feet low and the bass aren't biting a thing. Can it be fall yet?
  20. decaf? Never heard of it.
  21. dingers smell REALLY good.
  22. I always keep a few bags of the bait I caught my first bass on- watermelon red 3.5" coffee tube for busting skunks.
  23. how are your tornado's holding up? I got a bag and the durability was HORRID. They ripped when I put the rattle in the tail and they ripped after one fish. No bueno. To the OP: I use powerteam lures.
  24. Sick dude! XL Nez for a tenth of the cost!
