Grass Master

I'm new to the area and am looking for places to fish from the bank. I've tried the canal at the end of 518 with no success but don't know where else to go. Besides there are too many people with shotguns down there anyway (kinda don't feel like being shot accidentally). Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I've landed many good fish, including my biggest smallmouth (22 in), walking the bank at Lamar Hill. Especially when the water is down. There's just something special about all those rocks. If you have a boat then Jefferson Springs is great, too. The rock wall across from the launch ramp always produces good fish for me on jigs. Hang a right and go under the bridge and there's another very long rock wall that's good, too. There are also tons of striper around there that like 1oz rooster tails. Good luck.
