  1. I contacted Shimano so hopefully I'll be hearing from them tomorrow
  2. ^^^ probably so and my luck it won't be under warranty anymore
  3. I've had it about a year I guess. I need to go search for the receipt. Everything is set right on it.. I only have two brake tabs pulled out, three on a really windy day. I know it's not the rod because I had it paired with a Veritas and then changed it with a Kistler Micro Magnesium and still casts the same. It casts farther with heavier baits.. Sometimes I throw a sammy 100 on it and it casts well, but t-rigged it doesn't go anywhere!!
  4. Ok, here's the question. Does anyone have castability issues with their Shimano Curado G. I know the G sucks in comparison with the E but I've always wondered why the hell my curado G only casts about 30 feet at best. I thought it might be a problem due to the fluorocarbon I had on the spool so I switched it out with some monofilament and it's not casting any better. I have the same monofilament on one of my Lew's reels and that thing casts like a dream. I cleaned up the reel a bit and it still doesn't cast well. Anyone have this issue?? Or has anyone had this issue and changed the bearings and felt a difference? I kind of don't see the point in changing the bearings out with boca bearings for $50 dollars when I have cheaper Lew's reels that perform way better than this G
