  1. Can u even do this? If u can I want to make a red, yellow, orange, green all those good colors but, I want the garlic scent like the Spike-It has. Give me any recipes u got I will try them, thanks Tyler
  2. Thanks for the input guys, I'm really not much on shimano reels. Don't kill me I just don't like the braking system at all and I think they are to much hype for just a reel. I've always been a dawia and BPS guys I just think the reels are solid. I want this new reel to throw football jigs, carolina rigs, swim baits anything heavy on a 7''3 Heavy Duckett
  3. Ducketts are the best rods in my opinion
  4. It looks like you can't get the Johnny right now there is no chart to select the ratio and no add to cart button
  5. I mean I love mine never failed me but if there is a better piece of gear I want it you know?
  6. The Johnny is actually $159.99
  7. I love, love my Pro Qualifers they are smooth, tough and the casting distance is great but, I was looking on BPS and saw the Johnny Morris Signature series reels for $169. Do you guys think it's worth spending the extra money on the Johnny Morris or would you go with the sure thing Pro Qualifer? Thanks, Tyler
  8. Powell diesel is a pretty good rod in that range but, for $40 more you can get a Duckett Ghost which is a absolute MONEY rod.
  9. Thanks for the input guys, here is some more info. I will have another person with me most of the time, I want to be able to stand, like storage and would like to keep just the boat nothing else on it on or below 300
  10. First of all welcome, I personally haven't fished those rods I fish rods of a higher quality. I would recommend the duckett Ghost
  11. There are a bunch of these style boats on Craigslist, and some of them are nice with trolling motors. I have been looking for a good pond hopping boat but I also want to have something to put on the New River. The new river has some rapids tho and I'm not sure if it would take it? So, If u were going to rig up one of these boat for river smallmouth and pond some lake fishing what would u do? Thanks a million ,Tyler
  12. I would try a zoom centipede in watermelon to they are waxing it here
  13. I bet that was a good fight nice fish man
  14. I have a pond that' sound similar to yours and I catch fish on a frog and they choke it deep they still live. All of them can't live man it's all right
  15. Last year we wear dragging big footballs at night and I killed a fish on the hook set no lie he hit I swung he didn't fight swung in boat dead as a door nail
  16. I would of skipped a senko back in there if they were hanging out in the first 1-3 ft then maybe a fluke
  17. I can't seem to find these things? Both Smith Mountain Lake & Philpot Resivor have really big ones in it . We get beat all the time at philpot with guys with a 5 fish limit. I run up on one every now and then with a brush hog or critter craw but that's about it. Please help
  18. Yeah that would work how big of a work area do you have? I have a workbench
  19. I am very interested in turning big wakebaits & swimbait on a lathe. I have some questions though on budget lathes, heavy duty hardware, sealing and painting. We use these big baits at night and throw them right up next to the rocks & it beats the crap out of them. Looking on making bait 3-6 inches jointed and non jointed
  20. I really like the Ducketts actions and quality I will pick a 7'3 up in the next couple weeks. What do you guys use for leader line mono or fluro dad told me it does matter
  21. I Texas rig mine with a 1/4 weight sometimes I peg it really a good bait in green pumpkin & watermelon
  22. On our Triton Dad took a piece of aluminum right angle and drilled holes in it just big enough for 2 spinnerbait hooks to go through & attached it to the hatch( the part that comes up) you can just hang them with the blades facing you and when you close the hatch they all hang vertical.
  23. So basically fish it like a big football jig? Drag it a little pick up slack repeat real real slow
  24. Thanks I know the Pro Qualifer reels are solid that's about all I use I was just asking because dad burnt one up last year doing it I guess stopping that heavy rig burnt it up and yes 2 oz is extreme thanks for the info
  25. I know that the Ducketts have the softer tip I really like it I will try it out before I buy it also looking at the 7'6 extra heavy
