So, I have been looking at these Pelican Bass Raiders & I have some questions Stability- How stable are these boats, could me and my buddy both stand and fish? Customizable- Can fish finders and foot controlled trolling motor be added, do they come pre wired Transportation- I am thinking about building a Harbor Freight or Northern tool trailer to but it on but I want to add a rod box on the side of the trailer. I am pulling this behind a atv or a truck . Should I get the 8 or the 10 most of the time it's me my dad or buddy all his gear my gear battery trolling motor paddle. Thanks tyler

My favorite square bill rod by far is the old cranking carrot stix. Mine is a 6-9 and is a beast when throwing kvd 1.5 &2.5 I have also thrown jerk baits on it, really a sweet rod

I really have some questions about a top water/ spinnerbait rod. I think I have decided on a 6.4.1 gear ratio and a 6-6 or 6-10 rod. I am very interested in the quantum smoke rod in the 6-10/ moderate - fast action, but I like throwing big I'm talking big spooks and wake baits but I also like throwing the little stuff. I currently run two rods, one for big baits which I only throw at night and, a little cheap 6-6 that was gave to me. Another issue that concerns me is that if I am throwing braid and it gets a not in it, and I try to cast with micros the rods in the lake. Please help sincerely , Tyler

Hello bassresource, I have some questions regarding tying hair jigs, I have tied flies before but, I want to try something different. My dad said he would buy all the materials if I could tie him some smallmouth jigs. He wants them tied with various hair then he want some tied with round rubber tied on with thread. I have no idea how to do that, he said it makes them flare more. What kind of materials do I need for some crawfish and baitfish colored jigs? I know about the vise and stuff but, what about thread size and head weight. I want to cast these jigs with no bobber. What kind of materials for the round rubber jigs.

Ok this info helps I have talked to Appomattox river and backcountry I like the ride 115 but, if I wanted to take it to philpot lake and target swallows then, I don't believe it would handle wake very well. The commander is cool but if I were to swamp then I'm in the water. I think with the jon I still could take it on small ponds or the river or lake.

What are.some other kayak options remember I to take all of my 6 rods and 5 360 boxes with me.

May not be bad to take a boater ed course to know what to do in an emergency and such.

I fish small ponds, the new river and some smaller lakes. The paddling is not a problem but, I'm not sure about landing fish and setting the hook from the standing position.

Hello again all you bass resource users, I have some questions regarding a 12 ft jon boat or a Jackson kayak Coosa. Now I would have to add a deck,motor,trolling motor,carpet and storage hatches. With the Coosa I would have to fish finder and rod holder's. The Coosa would be cheaper by far but, would the jon boat be more comfortable. I wouldn't have to title a engine or anything on the Coosa and with the price of the engine I like the Coosa is looking promising. Sincerely, Tyler

I am thinking about trying this reel. Has anyone tried it yet and can tell me how well it casts and how smooth the drag is.I will be using this for squarebill and DT 10 . Does it preform well with big line like 17 mono for what we call thundersticking and can it preform with light shad raps or do I need to rethink my selection trying to stay around 100
