Hey guys i need help with the drop shot i really need gudiance what line ( im thiking about sunline 7lb) what rod and reel what baits the whole 9 yards

I like to throw a swimbait or a-rig just because you catch big ones for numbers a hair jig tube or a 6xd

I m new to jigs in general and am wondering if anyone whos some info on football jigs , including tackle (line rod reel) it would help alot ( im on a budget)

Check out youtube but heres how i rig it get a spro phat fly with a sliding bobber and throw it out there and let it sit watch your bobber every now and then move it a little but let in sit killer rig

I would throw a tube t rigged or a big jig if your fishing structure run a live target craw threw them ( wally world don't got them for sure) and hang on around dark throw a topwater bait , there is nothing more fun than topwater smallmouth. skip a senko under docks or throw a hair jig like a spro phat fly(wally world don't have them so don't look) under a bobber a jerkbait might work or litte crankbait.

Smallmouth definatly those things fight like a hawg throwing a tube or hair jig cant go wrong

If the forage is perch and smaller minners then throw a Rapala Shad Rap in perch and throw the small size rap in sliver. If that don't work try a swimbait or a senko. Also a frog won't hurt maybe a popper or spook but focus on the crank or a 6XD or sum other big crankbait in whatever color. I know but here in Va we night fish at Smith Mt. lake and kill them on top water late at night. Hope this helps Tight Line ,Tyler

If possiable get away from weeds and throw an Alabama Rig or jerkbait if the lake has shad if not throw a crankbait or if they are super sluggish (like in the early afternoon or morning) throw a hair jig or drop shot what forage does the lake have?

I have heard that smallmouth can be caught on a drop shot i have never thrown a drop shot and i love smallmouth fishing. if you guys know anything about this please post info on it
