There is nothing else wrong with the video right? Also do Revos come with oil? Thanks for the advice, but I'm NOT going to be completely taking the reel apart and cleaning every last inch. I don't have the skill to do that.

Well, during the summer and spring it's more like 3 or 4 times a week, but i tried to compensate for the winter and fall(: But on the serious side, is there a way to do a quick clean without taking the entire reel apart (Im ok with taking apart a few pieces) What oil (brand) is best for this?

I've also heard good things about the Bass Pro Shops xps fluorocarbon. Is this line good?

What *light* reel maintenance should I do to keep reel in good working order? (Without completely disassembling reel) 2. What materials are needed? I am a noob to reel maintenance, so please keep it easy. Thank you!

On the Abu website, it says the reel has "pitch" cent brakes. What is this?

Also, what is a pitch brake, and how do you adjust cent brakes?

P.S. It will most likely be paired up with either a Veritas or Vandetta (Gen 2)

Hello everyone, I am getting a new reel soon for bass fishing, and I have narrowed my options down to the Abu Garcia Revo sx, and the Revo s. I like both of these reels, but what one is better in your opinion? I know the s has a centrifugal brake, and the sx has a magnetic brake. Also, the Revo s says it has a "pitch" cent brake. What is this? How do you adjust a cent brake and how do you adjust a pitch cent brake?

Hey Arv, why exactly is a centrifugal better for a newbie?

Don't worry, although I am relatively new to the great world of baitcasters, I have had one in the past with magnetic brakes, and I learned how to cast for the most part with that reel.
