  1. Same to you and yours.
  2. Same to you and all! Already started the celebration.
  3. Gotcha ... if it's noise you are looking for I would try this. Google: Cabin Creek "Click-it" Drop Shot Weights. For the record I did use these last year and didn't find it made a whole lot of difference. My opinion is that the clacking draws attention to the weight. If the leader length to the hook is too long it might have them overlook the bait more often than not. I am convinced some of the bites I felt was them taking the weight and not the baited hook. A shorter leader might make a difference. Intend to "experiment" with this more next year.
  4. IMO weight is a matter of bottom contact only ... not water clarity. Water clarity is all about the bait ... I used a texas rigged power worm with good success in these conditions. 4-7"
  5. x2. I will add the shad shaped worm
  6. That is what I get for relying on auto correct. Lol
  7. I used them last year and got bit. My favorite is the Chart perch
  8. Long winters definitely = more tinkering. Lol Meery Christmas.
  9. Keep it ... eBay you stuff and you will see you might not get much for it.
  10. If your stuff is high end quality you might get some money for it. Otherwise I would keep it aside.
  11. I would most likely leave and not deal with that a-hole but if we are just trying to start another 2 lure or 3 lure list here is mine. Spinnerbait and senko.
  12. FL Outdoors, The Bass Pros and Major League Fishing.
  13. Welcome ... you have to be excited about the Bass Pro and Cabelas opening up down there on the western side of the island. Will certainly be going to visit the shops as a part of my trips to visit my family.
  14. FWIW .... I married into a family with 3 children. We have since had one child of our own which totals 4. Our raising methods were not the same going in but in time there was consistency built with how we raise them. That was a lot of trial and error and "discussion". 7 years now and we are on the same page ... It needs to be consistent and discipline has to be a part of it. Good luck.
  15. Glenn's video opened my eyes up to it and I used it last year with some success. I used a 3/0 VMC Powershot hook and a 7" Power Worm most of the time. Great flip n pitch alternative in and around the weeds. My minimum weight is also 1/2oz for this technique.
  16. Great feedback as always from everyone ... thanks ... My spinning setups have all been narrowed down to 15lb Braid with 6-10 FC leaders as necessary. I also have an extra spool which holds 8lb FC just in case. That worked for me well last year. As for my baitcasters I am all over the place right now but there are two definitive setups Flippin stick - 50lb braid Topwater - 15lb Mono The rest are still up for debate and range from 10 - 20 FC. As I experiment with the suggestions provided I will update this thread. Thanks a TON and Merry Christmas!
  17. Tube Drop Shot fluke Seay Dawg
  18. I have a mixture of lines which I use for my baitcasters right now. I think it's more complicated than it needs to be. One thing that I am considering is using a base line for most if not all setups. If you were to pick one line (type and lb. test) for all baitcasting setups what would that be?
  19. I have used 20lb FC and 50lb braid. I prefer the braid.
  20. With that reel you can throw cranks, slowroll spinnerbaits, swimbaits etc. I use it when I want a really slow retrieve in general.
  21. I began using it this year with decent success. My go to setup is aa follows Rig: Flash Mob Jr. with willow leaf blades. rod: 7'6" MH reel: 5x:1 Abu Ambassador Line: 50lb. Braid Bait: keitech swimbaits. 1/4 Oz weights Cast it out, count it down and reel slowly. The bite is furious! Pike and Bass love it!
  22. RoadWarrior ... I was more than floored when I opened the box. MegaStrike, RageBugs to last me a while, Siebert Jigs, treble baits of all sorts ... Thank you so much!!! As promised here are the pics ... I had to make a collage. Site wouldn't allow me to upload the 7 pics I needed to take.
