u should look at a few videos from the aerojet canal on youtube.com..they are catching good fish.

.....Does anybody here use or has used a casting net to catch bait fish? and has the the live bait been productive for you?..what bait fish have you gotten? and what quality fish have u hooked with ur live bait?...ive used casting net in fresh n salt water n had awesome results..

1 method that has been super productive for me is,throwing a casting net,catching some live shiners/bait fish & casting it with a bobber.u need to feed the fish what they normally eat on a daily basis in that canal.

its not browns farm area (my mistake).. it where they made the value jet memorial after that big jet liner crashed in the everglades back in 1997 ..that area is full of deep water canals and its a very popular fishing & air boat location too

a buddy of mine just came back from everglades national park (flamingo) he was fishing deep in ,hells bay in his 16ft jonboat & said he did really well,he got 6 big bass.a few large trouts ,snook & some sheep heads i saw all the pics too..ive fished hells bay lots of times and its always very productive...good luck guys.

i was planing on doing some fishing from the bank of all those canals after entering the value jet memorial site & try my luck,im going for anything that hits my bait,,im dieing to hook a good sized,snake head,i heard they put up a hard fight..but as a general bait to catch anything,what would u all recommend when it comes to artificial or other baits like bread balls,worms,shiners??

i was at blue lagoon recently and u really need a boat,there area that u can fish by foot is very limited behind the park by the boat ramp only and on weekends there a high traffic of jet skis all over.ive also heard that your truck n trailer could be at risk due to theft..

..I recently found what looks to be a great fishing area,its sw 8st.(tamiami trail) west about 11 miles west of Krome ave. on the right hand side,its were the Value jet memorial is at..the area is called the Browns farm wildlife management area..theres alot of canals there and to public boat ramps.can anybody tell if this area is productive?..what can i expect to catch there? & what baits should i use?..thank you guys happy 4th july and god bless u all..

i was driving around this lake trying 2 find a spot 2 fish,unfortutnately its all developed all around with homes and office buildings,i was able to go thru the office building parking lots on sunday it was a ghost town & take a few casts with a rattle trap. but i left there is private property sighs all over.t..i saw an older man cutting his grass & the lake behind his house,i told him i was looking 2 buy the house next 2 him just 2 get him talking about the lake n the fish in it.the lake has 2 islands in the middle,he said his grand kids fish it all the time & they catch nice sized bass & cat fish and they also do campfire n campout on the islands.....that really made me wanna buy the house next 2 him haha

ive fished the areojet canal from the bay/saltwater side on my boat.i love that area its so remote & beautiful..i saw plenty of tarpons rolling around and a few snooks.

a canal,creek or lake behind ur house can be alot of fun & convient too., an old buddy of mine has a wide canal behind his house it was about 150ft wide and 12ft deep,1 end would go 2 the ocean & the other end into more fresh water.last nite we put his 14ft jonboat with a yamaha 25hp in the canal,we fished from 7pm to 4am,while we were using the trolling motor,we were using topwater lures working the mangrove edges & also had a few lines about 2ft from the motor with live shrimps.,we made a killing.with the shrimps we got sheepheads,snappers,5lb grouper & with the lure we got snook & cuda,then at 2am. we headed up stream 2 the freshwater area..we got bass & catfish,it was a really productive nite all from his back yard & we only wasted 3gal. of gas.

im sorry u had 2 take the trip all the way out there buddy & waste ur time & fuel..i was atving out there recently and got kicked out by the cops,they said the enterence 2 the lake got closed down becasue 2 kids racing down the street crashed & died & ******** were shooting towards the jail with AK47 & hit the jails wall & a parked car too......Its a shame that lake was awesome!

i was over at everglades national park this thrusday on the fresh water side. i put a bunch of lure in the water and not 1 hit.then i went to a sliver spoon 3in long & in my 2nd cast i got a snook,then thruout the day i got a few bass,cat fish, 2 trouts.

yesterday i was atving deep in the everglades at 1 of my fishing holes & since i only had a backpack on & had to travel lite weight on my atv.i only had a wallmart lite fishing rod with 10lb & with a small plastic crawfish from wallmart too.it was chilly yesterday cold front came thru,the bass were not biting but i had a blast catching,Gars,Oscars & snakeheads till my plastic crawfish was bitten to peaceses hahaha..since it been really dry in south florida the fish in those smal ponds about the size of a swimming pool r dammmmmmm hungry..

yes i know all about the punks on jetskis/jet boats,ive passed by the highway and have seen them running like roaches all over..when i was there the quality n color of the water was really dark n brown..

the water levels r super low. when i was atving in the everglades on thursday, areas that have 3ft of water,were bone dry with dust like a desert .all the canals were 2 or 3 ft below there normal..

hey has anybody in here ever fish & got anything on ( BLUE LAGOON LAKE),thats right across from the miami international airport or at ( LAKE MAHAR )which connects thru a canal from blue lagoon??.ever since i was a kid ive heard all sorts of stories about these 2 lakes ,u know big bass,big fish,big alligators. etc...i gave this lake 3 chances,1 from shore and 2 on my boat and didnt realy catch anything..any1 had luck here?

i was always look for clean/clear water if possible, some what of a current/flow and most importanly i look for bait fish like lil minnows around..anywere ive seen bait ive cought fish..i know alot of bass guy love/use atrifical baits.i like 2 fish and catch fish period!..most productive bait n rig 2 catch fish period..very thin live, small hook, a small bobber and a live worm..bread balls have worked well too..

while searching for atv riding trails,i did come across a tiny canal,that looked very promising, i went on my atv yesterday 2 explore it,it was more like (a ditch),about 6ft wide & 6/7ft deep but it does run for miles.to my surprize it was full of fish,bass easyly 12in and up,lots of bait fish around and a few big snakeheads too..i pulled out my rod,bobber n worms from backpack,2sec after it was int he water my 1st bass,i got bored of catching fish yesterday,but at 2,30pm i ahd to run out of there,i noticed a small forest fire about 2miles away n the wind was pushing to me and were i had my truck parked..

i would not over look this canal and it feeds from a much large 1.i consider u a very luck man 2 have this lil canal behind ur house,thats a great place 2 put a line in the water on a lazy sunday after noon. the most productive bait inve used in thos lil shallow canals is,thin line, a bobber,small hook & live worms & just wait 2 see what hits it..dont judge the fishing potential of a canal big casue of its small size,fish of all sizes use those canals like a turnpike 2 travel all over..hell yesterday i was atving in the everglades & came across ( a ditch )it was about 6ft wide & about 6ft deep,it ran for miles.it was full ! im talking nice sized bass all over,bait fish all over & a few 3ft snake head fish too..so ur canal can very easy have good fish 4u to have some fun with..

in doing some reserech i found out that goggle earth,maps,bing buy the inages from the goverment, the inages can be anywere from a few weeks old to 2 years,they wont say,,i have found trials leading to lakes that seem open on goggle and then i find the woods have taken over,but a sharp machety does a great job of opening the trail again ( im gulty of that )..im like addicted to fidning secret fishing ponds/canals on goggle & then going to fish them..ive realized if u want good fishing u have 2 go were no 1 else goes.

for there street level shots, goggle maps has cars with these camaras on the roof driving all over the place.ive deep in a dirt trail in homestead riding atv's and have come across the goggle car mapping the area..

that has been the most productive bait for u in all sort of conditions,waters n weather?
