  1. Hey guys! I'm moving back up to Ohio soon and wanted to know what all kind of tackle y'all have had success on in terms of pike and musky. I've got bass fishing covered in most areas, but wanna get into larger game. I wanna know rod set up reccomendations and line and lures you've had success on. Thanks, Templeton
  2. His face says it all guys. I appreciate all the comments and tips. I built him a tackle box with pliers, bobbers, hooks and weights. Gave him some senkos worm hooks. Little guy loved it. He is actually really good at casting. My brother is gonna take him up for me while I'm in Alabama until I can move back up north. I'm gonna wait till he's a little older to teach him about soft plastics so I don't burn him out on fishing.
  3. Hey guys, I had recently bought my nephew a tackle box for his birthday and need help to fill it. He's 7 years old and tomorrow I'm taking him fishing for the first time. I'm gonna show him the basics, catch a couple of bluegill with a worm and bobber. I know the boy will love it cause he's always amazed by my fish in my pictures I have caught lol. I'm just wondering what lures you would recommend for a kid his age. Any input would help, he's fishing mostly small lakes and ponds. I bought a few senkos and octopus hooks for him to use, along with a couple of bombers and rooster tails. Thanks, Templeton
  4. 1. KVD 1.5 in sexy shad color 2. Red eye shad in sexy shad color 3. Bitsy minnow in Tennesee shad color 4. Strike King Tri-Wing buzzbait in white 3/8 oz 5. Cotton Cordell Lipless Crankbait in Bass color, 1/2 oz
  5. Hello everyone, I'm looking for a rod and reel combo that will help me feel the slightest bite from a bass on any soft plastic rig. My price range is 50-150 dollars. Any suggestion?
  6. Never been much of a soft plastic man, but you give me a KVD 1.5 crankbait in sexy shad, and I'll give you variable results.
  7. Molly. As in the fish species, Black Molly.
  8. What the bites feel like? What rod/reel type? Line Hook sizing for the different size baits Different presentation. Dead sticking, fast retrieve, rod tip raising vs slow hard jerks What lures excel in the rivers, creeks Number one thing to put in that book is to always have confidence that you are gonna catch a fish.
  9. I've found that Z-Man Finesse Wormz are deadly on a shaky head. They float and hold up a great while. Rig em on the jig head, and shake your rod tip enough to make the bait go wild while keeping bottom contact. Slowly drag it as well on the bottom and when you a branch or submerged log, shake it against it or stand it on top of the timber and shake it some more.
  10. To see if something is my favorite bait is to determine on how much work I must put into technique, making crankbaits my favorite lure.
  11. What about in terms of color?
  12. I recently went to Walmart and seen several Rapala xrap Slashbaits on the shelves and picked up a size 6 in olive green color. Was wondering when is it good to have bigger jerkbaits or smaller ones? Would you throw the size 6 on a baitcast outfit or a spinning? I've searched online and this site several days now, and couldn't find my answer, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Templeton
  13. What kind of rod and reel combo would some of y'all recommend? Do fast action tips really help in detecting bites?
  14. I bought this at a pawnshop for 34 cents. It looked cool, so I thought why not?
  15. Red eye shad in sexy shad or sexy chartreuse shad.
