Big Island Lake in Itasca County, bar none. It's only 300 or so acres, but I have hauled in more 3+ pounders here than any other lake. If you are a strong frog fisherman (as I am), this lily pad covered lake is paradise, and the pads are not so thick you can't punch a texas rigged worm or creature through. This lake is magic.

I am a northern Minnesota angler who loves chasing smallmouth and largemouth equally. I was wondering if anyone else has fished and/or enjoys some of the great lakes we have up in the northwoods, and if so, what are some of your favorites? I'd be happy to share mine.
