Hey guys, just putting up a little survey, which do you prefer, Lews, Abu Garcia, or Shimano...Thought it would be cool to hear all of the opinions.

You have a good point on the braid.

Hey man, I prefer braid for all around use with a 2 ft fluoro leader, it depends on your fishing conditions, water clarity, etc. There are going to be many different opinions on this topic, but that's what I prefer. I use 30 pound power pro in moss green with a 2ft P-Line fluorocarbon leader and I fish it with most of my baits, and setups, braid is at its best for pitching, heavy cover, and top water since it floats, if im not using braid I use fluoro, especially for Lake George here in FL. It has the clearest water of all of the waters I fish. If you want the best of both worlds like I do, tie a 2ft or 3ft leader on. Clearer water use Mono, or fluoro, stained and muddy/dirty water, use braid. Hope that helps, search around the internet and find the most common opinion, but keep checking this too there are some people on here that know what their talking about.

I originally was going to get the Shimano Citica and ran upon this one and loved the looks and the feel of the reel. I've always used lews and loved them, I just found out about this one today and decided to get it without reading reviews, I just figured since it was a lews... why not? I just wanted to make sure that I didn't make a mistake. thanks again!
