  2. Ive heard mixed reviews on the EXO's and Quantum only had the 100 series in stock for lefites (They showed the left models for the 300/200 series but im pretty sure they havn't been released yet?) so I just went with the smoke 151. Probably gonna have periods of buyers remorse but I like the smokes so it shouldn't last long lol
  3. Just an FYI I couldn't find the courage to stray from what I already love. So, I just ordered a Powell Endurance 775 and another smoke 151HPT It's always like christmas as you wait for your new gear to show up.
  4. So I got a coupon offer from quantum for 40% off any reel and 50% off any rod. I need a 7'2" - 7'6" Heavy action rod to use as a swimbait/frog/flipping rod and reel combo.(A 7'6" H x-fast action Exo will only run me $89 so I pretty much have to do it.) I'm partial to Powell rods and don't have any experience with the Quantum Exo or Smoke rods. I assume the Exo is a better rod because it's more expensive? Does anyone have experience with either the smokes or Exo rods such as how fast the tips are, sensitivity, accurate power rating? I will also be getting a new reel and I don't know what to get Smoke/Exo. I own a smoke 151Hpt and like it but kinda wanna try an exo. However, they only have the exo100 series in stock for lefties. Is the spool capacity the only difference between the Exo 300,200,and 100 series?
  5. Yep ordered a 201E7 for $150 I feel like lm stealing. I wish Powell was included then I would have to open a new credit card
  6. Bassmaster Classic sale is now at TW. 25% off all Shimano, GLoomis, and, Jackall. Till Feb. 25th at 5 P.M.
  7. I live in Oregon so no BPS for me and all the reels I own are worth more than $30 I might just have to wait for a Cabelas special.
  8. Ive never done this before but I love fishing so I'm trying to find someone to take me. I go to college at the University of Oregon and am currently on the UofO Bass Team. Students in the club really dont fish that often except for tournaments and as spring approaches in dying to get on the water more. However, I don't know eugene that well. Im just looking for someone to go fishing with and if you happen to have a boat I would love to explore some of the lakes (fern ridge, cottage grove, Dorena), or even rivers. Im a responsible Junior majoring in Biology with an interest in Fish Conservation. I have money, a car, a great additude, and a passion for fish. I would love to find someone with a boat and will gladly pitch in for gas and anything else. I live in eugene but would be willing to drive an hour to meet.
  9. I'm gonna buy 2 Shimano chronarch's, one 201E7, and one 201E6. However, $400 is a chunck of change and have been wondering if I should wait for possible discounts. Winter is almost over and with spring in the air I am hoping Shimano has a promotion some time soon. I remember around the time the new Chronarchs came out they had a $30 rebate. I was just curious if anyone knew about when promotions usually occur or if any Shimano staff could hint towards upcoming deals.
