  1. Biggest was on a FROG! The others were caught on a Zoom fluke.
  2. more inches to add to my total. got a 17, 18, 18, and a 20 this past sunday. no football today so i am finally posting. was having a hard time getting the tape measure to lay flat on the grass, so the measurements look off. gonna steal the lay the bass on the tape trick next time.
  3. All my fish were caught on a silver/blue rat l trap. The pond I was fishing has a bunch of little fish that the bass were chasing. The baitfish were getting knocked out of the water. I figured I would try and match the hatch. Are you fishing a hollow body frog or the rubber Ribbit style? I fish both kinds but prefer the hollow body one.
  4. and the last. i cant fit them all in on one reply.
  5. Finally got to fish. Nothing good but I know what a bass looks like again. 14, 15, 15, 17, 18 That's the best I could do so far.
  6. You guys seem to be having some fun with this tournament. Count me in. Hopefully i can fish more this month. Tight lines to all!
  7. good catch! i went out and tried a new pond and landed 8. i thought i was doing good. i have some catching up to do. maybe tomorrow will be better. keep it up.
  8. Most of the ponds around that area hold fish. I have caught fish on Hodges between Beach and Atlantic. Providence school has a pond with nice fish. The lakes at UNF hold fish also. Good luck.
  9. good luck! my brother has a buddy that got in on the 11th. wish i was going too
  10. congrats. awesome catch. i am still hunting for my first double digit fish as well.
  11. Anybody lucky enough to score some tickets to Barrett next month? They went on sale and sold out yesterday.
  12. good catch. we do have crappie also known as speckled perch or specks around these parts. Care to share where about that pond is? I havent caught one in a while.
  13. Zman baits are definitely durable. I just feel that the baits are a tad stiffer than some other brands such as GY. When the bite is wide open Zman works great since you don't have to change baits so often. I am fan of Zoom for a less expensive brand with lots of variety.
  14. congrats. good job starting them early. my 6 year old caught her 1st bass 2 months ago and i think i was happier than she was.
  15. Funny you mention Yelp. I have seen plenty of reviews on Tripadvisor and a couple on Yelp.
  16. Definitely check them out. Prices are usually cheaper than Dicks and Gander. I've even been to one that had a soft plastic bar. Like a salad bar but with plastic baits. You could buy as few or as many as you want.
  17. They are building a bass pro next year off I95 in st johns county!
  18. Yeah next one is the redfish spot tourney. That was one is neat since its all about luck.
  19. my favorite is chrome with blue back. ive been using them for over 20 years and the fish still love em. they catch fish in saltwater too.
  20. the el cheapo is a sheepshead tourney and it was a couple weeks ago.
  21. i've never fished those but i'm interested in trying them out. when are you planning on going?
  22. Does the Mayo Clinic have any restrictions, or has anyone had an issues with fishing the grounds there? Tight lines, sharp hooks and releasing the lunkers.... They dont allow it and security will run you off. Which ponds off of Beach Blvd are you talking about?
