  1. This is a question for the smallmouth guys, I live in Missouri and there are many Trout springs that are great for smallmouth. In the summer we use jigs and soft plastics, but now that it is in winter, should i be using the same jigs or should slow down and use soimthing different? its going to be 60 the day we are going so will the water temperature be a problem if its coming out of spring, with the water being ice cold anyway?
  2. It means heavy cover because it is a squarebill crank!

  13. I like watermelon magic in he big size for clear water and a i think its like a dark purple for dark water conditions!
  14. If you set your drag right you wont break the line. Set the hook hard the first time and if it breaks then make the drag looser, and keep doing that until you are confident that it wont break off even with a hard hook set!

  21. the beads are probly making more nose because they are metal against metal.
  22. I have had good luck using them just like a crankbait in shallow water, always hitting the bottom! also in submerged grass ill let it tick the top of the grass then let it fall and rip right out and thats when i get my bites!
  23. If you do it enough and your line doesn't go back on your spool correctly then it can weaken your line! I have had it where i had a few bad backlashes and then a few days later I made a really long cast and half my line went with it! so be carful and don't be scared to re-spool every once in a while.
