  1. Thanks for the welcome. Maybe we could meet up sometime, and do some fishing. I sent ya an e-mail, hope to talk to you further in the future. John P.
  2. Um, very slowly? LOL ;D There is a new spinnerbait on the market, by Strike King, called the Rocket Shad. These spinnerbaits are created just for this purpose. However, if you don't have any of these, and are able to change out the blades, I go with a 1/2 head, with 2 willow blades. The front one around 4.5 and the back at either a 2.5 or 3.5. One technique that you can try is to yo-yo it up or down the ledge. This gives the impression of a dying shad, which is a great way to trick bass into feeding. I suggest using a slow reel, 5.2:1 or 5.3:1, depending on what reel you are using. This will force you to slow your presentation down.
  3. Great question! No, lizards are not just for spring. However, in spring, they really do shine. When I fish a C-rig, I want a lure that is going to look large, so, I would use 8 in. lizards, 10-12 inc. worms, etc. If you find that the fish are not reacting to that, go to smaller versions of these lures. If they are not reacting to regular worms, or lizards, then, try Senkos, or Sweebo worms. Also, do not be afraid to fish the creature baits on a C-rig. Especially if you have a strong forage bass of crawfish, use the creature baits. Hope that this give you some insight. Oh yeah, and for this time of year, I fish large lizards 8 in. or larger, and I will also fish creature baits.
  4. I would like to introduce myself to all the people here. I am John Pulliam, and I live in Trion, Georgia. It is roughly 2 hours north of Atlanta, and I am 40 mins from both the TN and AL borders. I am 22 years of age, and I will be 23 in February of 2006. I have been fishing since I was 6 years old, and through that time, I have 11 years spent focusing on bass. If there are any questions concerning any of the lakes that I may be around, please post them here. Also, feel free to IM me or PM me, just to say hi. Thanks, John P.
  5. I rig my Senkos several different ways. Most of the time, I use the 5 in. model, and when I use these, I will rig them weedless, or Tex-posed, as Yamamoto calls it. When I fish them Wacky-style, I find the exact middle of the Senko. I know that some rig in through the "egg-sack", but I do not rig it this way, because I feel that it will make the lure lop-sided, and that it will cause the lure to fish differently. :-/ If I am using the 3-4 in. model, I will use them on a drop-shot rig, and I will nose hook them. If I am wanting a bit more action, I will rig it through the tail, but when this is done, you will go through a lot of them, cause they will tear a lot. :'( Yes, I know, that's a lot of money, and a lot of lures.
