  1. diddo about the offset worm hook ...
  2. if their not being aggressive, and the stain isn't that bad, I would definately go with willow leaf blades. for color, I would say match the hatch as best you can ... if not, my go to color when their not biting so well is a pearl/blue with silver blades.
  3. oh i gotcha. And that's easy for me to say, cause im mostly a flourocarbon man. I know braid can be a littleee bit tougher when it comes to knots...I just cant stand the idea of a 10lbr connected to me only by a little flimsey snap swivel...
  4. this, and a wacky rigged senko.
  5. yup. One thing you can do though .... I keep my stuff pretty organized, and it doesn't take me more than a minute to tie on something else. So if you can get to where you can quickly tie a knot and keep your stuff organized, you shouldnt have to worry about snap swivels. I just have more confidence when im tied directly to the hook...
  6. Thanks guys! I caught her on a shaky head with a junebug "finnese fin-eke" worm.
  7. Believe it or not, I caught her in about 2 foot of water in the middle of a brush pile, and to top that off ... it was about three in the afternoon and 95 degrees!
  8. haha yah, i just said that because if it were early spring, that girl probably would have weighed 9 or 10
  9. Thanks guys:)
  10. Im really starting to like this rig. Caught this pig yesterday on a 3/16 shaky head with a junebug finnese Fin-Eke worm, and darned if I didn't catch this girl at about three a clock in the afternoon ... it was like 97 degrees out! She was only a 7lbr, but she was almost 24" with a 16" girth!
  11. Well I tried, but it said it was too large, so im tryin to figure it out...
  12. Caught this pig today! 7lbs, 23'' long with a 16'' girth.
  13. I would tell you if I could, but this is something I really need confidence in...:/
  14. thanks guys, I appreciate it.
  15. oh ok. This is gonna be more of an all around cranking rod.
  16. I gotcha. Just from your experience ... which do you prefer?
  17. Hey guys, I need your opinion ... I'm getting ready to get myself a new baitcast rod, and I'm trying to decide between a 6'6 medium heavy, or a 7' medium heavy. I will use this rod mainly for cranking. Whats yall's opinion on which one I should get? Thanks
  18. Let me say ... I really respect you "grumpy old man" because it takes a REAL man to stand in front of a ton of people, talk about your problems, then apologize for it! Hats off to you my friend
  19. used trilene all my life, never had probs like that ... either a bad spool or ... operator error?
  20. What are you looking to hunt? Or do you want it for just a plinker rifle?
  21. ya, but the more stuff you buy, the more shipping goes up...
  22. nice to know ya bud, and good luck! Btw, dont take living in florida for granted ... I would give evrything but my fishing stuff to live down there ... BASS PARADISE BABY!!
  23. "Greenies" ... never heard of them. But as youve seen in past posts ... we catch fish on our "normal" lures just fine:) Good luck bro
