Finesse Style Spinning Rod Help.
Bass pro rods hands down. My go to spinning rod is a 6'6" medium/fast bass pro tourney special. I LOVE it. I've beat on it and its still in perfect condition. I recently bought a carbonlite in 7'6" heavy/xtra for flipping and this thing is SO light and comfortable. Go pick one up and you will not want to put it down. The grip is just amazing. Also, I stand by my Mitchell reels. They've never let me down. So if you wanna spend 100 on a combo, go bps tourney special/Mitchell reel. Wanna spend 100 on a great rod? Go carbonlite. Either way you won't be disappointed and happy fishing!

Bad Luck
I fish mostly Texas rigs when pond fishing. It's about as easy as you can do it. What are your conditions? What's the air temp/ water temp? Lots of bass are going to be in the shallows right now. You have to fish smart. Cold fronts and bad weather the fish are going back to deep water or sticking to cover. Are you using the right colors for the water you're fishing in? High vis = bright more natural colors. Low vis = darker colors along with some chartreuse. I'm in Alabama, but I can catch fish all day long down here in murky water using junebug chartreuse and watermelon red chartreuse ZOOM finesse worms. It's all about confidence bud, pick something and stick with it for a little while. Try Texas rigging a worm and just cast it, let it sink, lift up, reel, let it sink again, and repeat. Are you not having luck at all, or just no big ones. Big bass got big by one of two ways, playing it smart, or low fishing pressure
