Haven't been on here for a while but glad to hear everyone's been catching fish... Congrats on the graduation drew... As far as fishing reports I've been fishing around lakes here... Shawnee mission, I've been catching them off of white flukes bass and wipers if conditions are right....didn't get to weigh the bass or wipers because my scale ran out of batteries but 1 bass was 19.5 inch and the other was 18.5... The big wiper was easily over 10lbs.. My daughter is 4 so there's the comparison...

Bluebasser, I had a feeling that it was you that I saw at Kill Creek. I wasn't sure because you had the mask on, but I was the guy at the dock who asked if you caught anything.. Glad to hear you guys caught some fish. Only caught 2 there then left..

I've been doing pretty good with weedless and weightless white flukes along with senkos and such.. If I want to pond hop and wanna cover the pond fast, i go around with the fluke fishing along shorelines, any type of brush/branches/woods/specks of weeds and such and on those hot days i normally find them close to structure or along shore.. I use white flukes mostly...

I bought a buzz plug when I went down to OK for the classic but haven't caught anything on it. Granted I only used it a few times.. Would like to try it some more but haven't pulled it out in a few weeks.. Good luck with it!

Went around the usual lakes today and caught quite a few fish. Again, no size ... Seems like they're starting to hit top water.. I strolled my weedless plastic across weedpatches and got a few hits but only connected on 1 with it..

Went to Olathe Lake today for an hour and a half or so. Only managed to catch 1LM about 13" - 15" but it is my first at Olathe for me so no more being skunked there . Caught it by the mouth of the inlet. Btw, I've been wanting to catch some wipers and whitebass. What are some good shore access around here, if ya don't mind sharing. Thanks

Unfortunately don't have a boat so all bank fishing for me. I've been fishing Lenexa, that's where my report came from and where majority of fishes are, but no size. Have yet to try Cedar, and haven't had any luck at Olathe, but only gone twice. Have not fished by the dam yet though. Thanks for the info Blue, it'll come in handy.

Would love to join you guys next weekend but unfortunately, we're heading back up to Wisconsin next weekend to visit family (for spring break). I appreciate the info. I cruised around Wyandotte once and I wasn't sure if I wanted to pay an addition $20 or so for the permit. Kind of on a tight budget right now since i'm in KC for college. Thanks for the information though. =)

New to the forums here and also to the KC area from Wisconsin. Don't really know too many spots but I have been fishing SMP and other small lakes around the area.. Been catching quite a few smaller ones that don't have too much size.. I did go to a lake and also SMP todaycaught about 8 total ranging from 12-15". Just thought I'd post since it'll be my first report/and post
