  1. I will say that I've personally caught a yellowfin that weighed 125lbs and it was 66" long and it took 1.5 hours to get him in the boat. I had him at the boat in about 15 minutes, but as soon as he saw the boat he took out at least twice as much as he did the first run and he did this two more times before giving in. That was the biggest of the day, we also caught at least 10 albacore that were all in the 25lb and over range and they all came right in the boat. After catching a good sized tuna I have to admit that they are probably one of the toughest fish in the sea to boat. The only thing you would accomplish by locking the drag down is a burned up reel or a lost fish....
  2. The smaller money minnow is money and on a chatterbait with skirt removed...
  3. I have a St. Croix Mojo spinnerbait rod that I bought a few years back and it's been a great rod, it was only like $110 and does everything your asking for extremely well. TW has them in stock as does BPS,
  4. I haven't checked into Ganders trade in deal, but I'm sure it's going to be like BPS trade in deal. Which is basically you spend a certain amount they'll give you a certain amount, or if you spend over $100 on a reel they'll give you $20 for yours and if you spend $200 they'll give you $40 for your old reel. Also for you can only trade in one reel for one reel or one rod for me one rod for one rod. You can't walk in with a reel and 4 rods and try and trade them for one reel or rod.
  5. I'm learning that even a pro can't win without being shady. I feel the whole brush pile thing was wrong and BASS should address the issue. I lost a lot of respect for the way things are done in the BASS game...
  6. For what you could pick up a used barrel for, that one would get trashed. As far as the rest of the gun, have you thought about have it hydro-dipped? They look awesome when done in a nice camp pattern..
  7. The end of deer season usually does it for me..
  8. Dark rainbow was my first choice, I figured with it being darker it would be more visible from underneath.
  9. 2 Shellcracker g2s, 2 MS Slammers and 2 Hudd Deluxe 68s 1 rof5 and 1 rof12. Come on spring!!!
  10. I have to say that Don don't mess around. I placed an order about an hour or so ago, and I already received a tracking number for the package. Looking forward to getting my Shellcracker G2s and my MSSlammers..
  11. Not when TW don't have any Shell Crackers in stock and SBC does. Besides I don't play that calling back and forth stuff. If you have the deal and the product I'm looking for you get my business period, I have a BPS 5 minutes away so I only mail order what they don't carry in the store, so I not dedicated to TW in any way.
  12. I just noticed that these guys have some shell cracker G2s in stock and I'm about to place an order, and I was wondering if anyone here had any experience dealing with these guys. They seem to have a good amount of stuff and they're cheaper then TW. Thanks in advance for the replies
  13. I'm ready to order a few of these bad boys and I was wondering what some of your favorite colors are?? Thanks in advance for the replies...
  14. I'm sure your neighbors will appreciate that thought process while your shooting in their direction. 12 ga with 00 buckshot is the best home defense weapon out there IMO. Oh and I own 2 ARs
  15. The Dirt Napper
  16. I got this little guy last Thursday the 16th which was the opener of MDs three day early muzzleloader hunt. I normally wouldn't even shoot a buck this small, but I watched him sneak onto my farm from the neighboring farm. I could tell he was hurt by the way he was acting and walking. After watching him for about a half an hour he finally made his way out of the tax ditch into some heavy reeds that are right on the edge of my farm, after about 20 more minutes and he didn't come out. So I got down from my stand and starting walking up the tax ditch access road, when I got about five yards away from him he jumped out in front of me and was on full tilt boogie away from me. I let him get about thirty yards away, and then I let the ole T/C Encore bark. All it took was one 250 grain TC shockwave in front of three whitehots to the back of the neck to send him tumbling to the ground. In the end this poor guy was gut shot and shot in the nose which had his bottom jaw just hanging and his tongue was half blown off. It just goes to show how tuff these guys really are.
  17. The best thing you can do is throw all the names out the door and go shoot all the bows that are in your price range, and find the one that fits and feels best. Pretty much all the big names in the bow world are building decent stuff. You will be able to take a $200 bow that fits you and feels good to you and shoot it way better then a $700 bow. Also most bows in your price range will be shooting at least 300 fps or more, so it should be flat shooting. When I bought my last bow I was dead set on a Matthews until I went and actually shot one, then I went to BPS and shot a Parker. The Parker just felt better in my hand then the Matthews did so I bought the Parker instead.
  18. Good luck with that Traditions if that's your choice, but I will say from experience that A Traditions ain't even close to a T/C muzzleloader. This is in the fit, finish and performance categories.
  19. I don't personally own a Triumph, but I do own an Encore and it's the best shooting Muzzleloader I've ever owned. I've heard nothing but good things about the Triumphs also. The guys that I know that use them are shooting the TC Shockwaves with the yellow sabots, and are having good luck with them. I'm shooting 3 pellets of pyrodex or 150 grains behind 250 grain shockwaves withe yellow sabots and it shoots lazer straight. In my opinion you can't really go wrong with anything TC
  20. Jhoffman I agree with pretty much everything you said, but during the rut Code Blue doe in estrus has always been a winner winner venison dinner for me...
  21. The vanilla is used as a cover scent/ attractant. Play the winds and the vanilla is worthless, now as far as the doe pee. That I toss out at the end of each season, try taking a new bottle and give it a sniff next to the old one and you'll see why I say this..
  22. Green is the only way to go for deer hunting, you will scare off way less deer with green then any other color. All I carry is a streamlight stylus, I don't like headlamps all that much, But Bass Pro has headlamps in green.
  23. Would it be too much trouble to send one this way, it would be highly appreciated
  24. I don't recall the OP stating that he is from NY
